I've had a Heideneau 130/70 tire on the back of my Buddy for about 6 months and I like it. It feels a little different at first but one gets used to it quickly.

I don't know if I have better traction, etc... though; I haven't noticed a ton of difference in that regard.

I happen to love Kuhl clothing and their pants are pretty stout. It's a good reminder that even good pants such as jeans, etc...won't stand up to the abrasion in most crashes.

Grooved highways really suck but steel grate bridges take the proverbial cake. I crossed the border from Kentucky to Indiana across one and literally rode no faster than 10mph; there were deep grates on that.... Never again!

I just reserved my hotel and bought my ticket. I'm not staying at the Event Hotel but I'm not that far out (Red Roof South) so it should work out well. The scoot tends to just sit there, in a funk of sorts.... :wink:

But you can have another engine put in to replace it. My first one threw a rod but I got a used one after that. It wore out and I got another used one with a stern "don't drive it WOT so much" from the mechanic! :lol:

On any longer trip I take, I usually do two things: 1. plan the distance travelled around a speed of 45 mph--then I usually go 60+ but stop whenever I want to. 2. only go about 300-350 miles in a day. That's around six hours of riding during a day, which strikes me as not too much. Just my thoughts.
