I love the ergos on my Roughhouse 50, and if it came out with the 200i version, itd be hard to say no to.

The Cabo 200i, is a very close comparison. If I ever needed a larger scooter, that one is on the top of my list.

looks like Genuine didn't learn their lesson from the Stellauto.

at only 125 cc's the Stellauto was pretty much DOA.

Had the Royal Alloy been at 250 - 300 cc's I would've been interested.

The wiring under the headset is very crowded, and shorts are common. The wires get old and brittle.

Unscrew the top of the headset (4 screws underneath) and then push up on the speedo cable, the head set should come apart, and then take a look.

I usually kick start as the battery is very weak on those 50's.

TIP: hold the throttle open as you kick start.

Have to agree about the front brake - you didn't mention if you were braking at that time, but whenever there is gravel, wet leaves, or just a slippery condition, avoid the front brake. (experience speaking here).

Glad you and your buddy aren't that hurt. Experience is the best teacher.

Not to be a negative Nancy, but BigDaddy blew up his 4t this summer at Amerivespa, and just gave up on Stellas. He got a Vespa GT. Your scooter, running well, should be fine. BigDaddy did all sorts of things to his scooter, mods, etc... Leave it stock, and you should be able to enjoy it for some time.

The charging system on the Buddy and the RH is so weak, most of the time I need to kickstart anyways.

There's no replacement for displacement.

I've not had good luck with upgrades. There's always a trade off, and sometimes I feel foolish for spending xx amount for only .y percentage increase in performance.

Stockers are less likely to give give you reliability issues.

I have a 24/24 on a stock 150cc.

Nothing but headache on tuning.

Stick with stock.

55/160 idle, 160AC be3, and 105 main jet, check main jetting.

Now I hit only 40, although my take off is quicker. (not when coming down a hill and re-accelerating though)

Following because I have the exact same plan as you - get a tach and then tune the rollers for maximum efficiency. I have the NCY super tranny on mine, and was very disappointed to see that my max speed fell 10 mph.

I've run a battery tender lead from the battery. It sticks out of the left hand cowl. I then plug in an USB adaptor then the charging cord. Works well for me. You can run the cord through the shopping bag hook and up to the headset.

I installed the NCY kit - regretted it because it seems slower than before and has no re-acceleration. It is not a plug and play - you will need to play around with the rollers and pulleys to get it set up correctly.

Now the rumors are going around the Genuine Scooter Co. will be importing Royal Alloys. I've seen some posts from other scooter shops showing the Royal Alloys then those posts mysteriously disappear.

You're not too far from Carlisle Cycle and Scooter. They rebuild my Stella headset after I crashed it and bent up the handlebars. Bill knows his stuff, I'd check them out.

The wiring on the Stella can be real troublesome. just a little warning.

My Stella is all banged up. Has her own quirks and idiosyncrasies. Drives me up the wall sometimes trying to figure out what's wrong.

I have a powerful Japanese touring motorcycle, but the Stella is still my favorite ride.
