HELP! Has anyone adjusted valves on Blur 220?
Trying to adjust the valves on my Blur has become more difficult than I thought. I can not get the vavle cover out, or enough out of the way, to adjust the lower tappet. I read the great how-to in the technical section but that was on a Buddy which looked much easier to access. If anyone has some ad...

At times I think I could fry an egg on mine! My guess for the extra heat is the larger clutch and variator packed rather tightly into the CVT case on these Blur 220s. I'd taken the risk of removing the front plastic cover and filter to see if it would run a little cooler but didn't notice a differen...

Havn't noticed a difference in that regard. I'm not sure how much actual increase there is in airflow verses stock, but I wanted something I could clean and reuse rather than buying new filters at $35.00 a pop. I frequently ride on dusty roads and this helps mitigate the cost and ordering hassle of ...

K&N Air Filter mod for Blur 220
Was looking for a K&N filter that would fit in the OEM frame in place of the paper filter. Found one that fit with a little alteration to the frame and the removal of excess rubber around the filter without cutting into the filter material itself. K&N #HA-1502 Once the filters excess rubber ...

Idle weirdness seems to be a common issue with the FI 220. Mine has done the same thing from day one. I've just gotten used to it as it hasn't affected the overall performance of the bike. About the only thing that will sometimes work is to simply shut the bike off and restart it - don't have a clue...

As a Blur 220 owner I can tell you the one big problem I've experienced - really sore cheek muscles from grinning so much ! Having had a number of scooters and motorcycles, my Blur has been the funnest - not the fastest - just the funnest. For a learner I think it'd be perfect: excellent handling, g...

I concur with the others on this: you will want something with more horsepower. I'm 160lbs and there are times when even I need more power, so at your size you'll want something like a BV350, Bergman 400, etc. They may not be as sexy as the Blur (well, the BV is pretty sweet) but they'll handle the ...

Vibration issue
My Blur has always run smoothly until today when it exhibited a pronounced buzzy vibration at around 50-60 MPH. It felt like it was kind of fighting itself to run at the higher RPMs. I don't know what the cause might be. Any ideas or similar experiences?

So sorry - what a bummer of a way to start out with your new ride. At least you weren't seriously injured - still though, ouch! As to gas level: yes, I think it can be effected by the inclination of the bike when the gauge reads low - on some older scoots I've run across it. I try never to let it dr...

If you've not seen these already - it's the Alaska Leather Buttpad. I have the universal fit size and I love it.

Front cover removal?
Here's the stupid question of the day: how do I remove the front cover? I take out the two top screws that are obvious but the darn thing will not come off. Am I missing something here?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

There's a gizmo called McCuff that's designed to facilitate fill-ups. I've never used one but it looks like it could be handy - kind of expensive for what it is though (~$20). I just do it the old fashioned way... with a gas can.

Thanks for the good advise. I actually hadn't considered approaching the dealer from that angle, and I think he's anxious to get it sold, so that's a great idea. I'm going to look at a NOS 2009 Piaggio BV250 a deaaler has for $3500 w/warranty (OTD $4250). It's a good deal but I'm much more attracted...

To buy, or not to buy
I've really enjoyed reading from this forum for some time now - always great info regardless of what one rides - so I'd value your input: The local Genuine dealer has a "used", but virtually new (5 miles), 2011 Blur. I can get it out-the-door for $3000, no warranty. From what I've been rea...
