I'd stick to the book and run 75-140. With your left-over Lucas 75-90 you're basically running straight 90wt which may not handle the pressures of the gearbox. It's cheap insurance against wear & tear, and it gets damn hot back there (hey, that rhymes). Just my two cents. Ride safe P.S. Hawaii.....

HELP! Has anyone adjusted valves on Blur 220?

Trying to adjust the valves on my Blur has become more difficult than I thought. I can not get the vavle cover out, or enough out of the way, to adjust the lower tappet. I read the great how-to in the technical section but that was on a Buddy which looked much easier to access. If anyone has some ad...

Mine does the occasional "up-idle" thing as well, and like chickdr, it occurs when coming to a stop after running awhile. Only trick I've found to knock the revs back down is to blip the throttle. That usually takes care of it. At least it doesn't hurt the scoot in any way, nor does it hap...

It's counter-intuitive, but I find that wearing a full or 3/4 length base layer under jeans is more comfortable than jeans alone when it's high 80s or hotter.

At times I think I could fry an egg on mine! My guess for the extra heat is the larger clutch and variator packed rather tightly into the CVT case on these Blur 220s. I'd taken the risk of removing the front plastic cover and filter to see if it would run a little cooler but didn't notice a differen...

Havn't noticed a difference in that regard. K&N Air Filter mod for Blur 220

Was looking for a K&N filter that would fit in the OEM frame in place of the paper filter. Found one that fit with a little alteration to the frame and the removal of excess rubber around the filter without cutting into the filter material itself. K&N #HA-1502 Once the filters excess rubber ...

My Blur has always run smoothly until today when it exhibited a pronounced buzzy vibration at around 50-60 MPH. It felt like it was kind of fighting itself to run at the higher RPMs. I don't know what the cause might be. Any ideas or similar experiences?
