It still might be the air/fuel ratio. If the bike is pulling too much at a stop (i.e. clutch enagaging at a stop) the ratio needs to be adjusted. Increasing the idle speed is just covering up the real issue, hopefully it is only the idle speed. However... experience tells most of us here it is not j...

Well, the air/fuel issue has been mentioned... the dreaded "vapor-lock" has been mentioned... the only thing left would be your idle adjustment. There is a black thumbwheel on the carb, it will increase or decrease your engine's idle speed. But my gut says the air/fuel is #1 suspect, and s...

Removing the restriction should help with power, the spacer will give you a higher top speed.

Then once you are more familir with your riding style, you can consider playing with the rollers to suit your weight and style too.

There is a restriction in the exhaust, and a spacer in the variator. Ask your shop how much extra to de-restrict during your 1st service (if you haven't taken a scooter apart recently). Not difficult, but super easy for a shop.

Yes you need a special tool for the air/fuel adjustment for the "d" shaped screw. If it's happening all the time that is your most likely culprit, if it's only after a fuel up it could be a poorly vented gas cap. Most likely #1 though. I have to adjust my 110 at least twice a season for te...

Kill the "high beam" wire. Then when you switch the highs on the headlight will go out. I've seen that done a lot on motorcycles with stobe lights installed. You'll have low beam only if you do this (obviously).

Do you think it's a transmission flat spot of a carb flat spot? It is still possible it's hitting too high of a gear before it's in the powerband, or it's getting too much fuel and bogging down. I'm not going to even guess what weights would work best in the 50.

The difficult part is they rate at about 3AMP, but the ballast draws extra current for consistent power to the bulb. That's the problem I ran into. A 35W HID will only USE 3-3.2AMPs... but the ballast will draw more to supply a constant supply

Technically yes, but it's the ballast that draws too many amps. A HID is 35W (roughly 3amp) vs an automotive headlight at 55W (roughly 5amp). Since HID kits are made for use in Motorcycles and cars the ballast is setup at over 3amps to provide a steady power supply for the HID bulb. Since a larger v...
