Re: Got my new G400...LOVE IT

Update! I'm up to 2,300 miles on mine and couldn't be happier. I fabricated and built out some high scrambler-style pipes for mine. The increased exhaust flow has upped the power a good bit, and I love the look/increased ground clearance. I also replaced the front brake pads with some higher quality...

Got my new G400...LOVE IT

Coming from some Genuine scooters, 70's Honda 350 twins, and a Grom, I've been stoked on the G400C since it was announced. I finally pulled the trigger and picked one up about a week and a half ago. 600 miles in! Mine came from Vespa Marietta near Atlanta. He sells primarily Royal Enfield motorcycle...

I'd really like to check out and/or consider buying a G400C, but there are no dealers who have one within a 4 or 5 hour drive of me. As a long-time lover of 70's Honda twins, this looks right up my alley. These bikes should be super popular in cities where hipsters are spending 2K+ on 70's CB350s. I...

Thanks guys!

I went ahead and got the grom to replace my Rattler (which is now for sale). It feels like it has a more consistent pick-up, slightly better top speed (55ish on flat ground for me), and better torque--though some of that is likely just the ability to use the gears to keep it in it's power-band. The ...

Anyone ridden both a rattler 110 and a GROM?

I really enjoy my Rattler--ridden it for a year and a half, but I'm considering swapping out for a GROM. My deal is that it have to be able to load it on the back of my RV by myself (so 200-240 lbs max). I like gears, spend a good bit of time on gravel/dirt roads, and love the fuel economy of the GR...

I messaged Genuine through Facebook to ask about the G400C, and they replied quickly that they're working on getting it 50 state emissions compliant. Definitely needs a re-jet--soon!

The mixture screw really only affects idle to 1/8 or 1/4 throttle. The needle controls 1/4-3/4ish, and the main jet controls the mixture from 5/8 throttle or so up to WOT. Adjusting the mixture screw does almost nothing from 1/4 throttle up, so you added air with your new filter but didn't increase ...

But if you want to check the adjustment, remove the air filter so that you can see into the Carb.
