Nice! I might try the ol pint of glass trick but I definitely need to look at that wiring diagram. I absolutely overlooked that. That's a good catch right there. So from what you have seen it does look like a variable brightness indicator? Seems odd they wouldn't mention it; although, trying to deci...

Yeah that's kind of what I am suspecting as its very dim in normal lighting as compared to other indicators. However, given there is no mention in the manual for that type of operation I found it questionable. The light tends to come on to a somewhat dim level maybe at 0.5gal remaining or more (hard...

G400C Questions/Comments
I want to start a thread regarding specifics to owning a 400 since there are very few owners on this forum. This would be comments/questions in regards to the actual operations/maintenance of the bike. I will start off here for any owners. Have you figured out how the fuel light works? On my bike, t...

Hey, picked up one of these a while back. I ended up just letting the shop do the first service, but intend to do the next round. I was looking for the service manual and have yet to find one for Genuine; however, there are some manuals for the Mash 400 that I could find in french on the webs. Anoth...

Nice! I just completed my first service a month ago and started using it for the daily commute. Love it so far. Definitely feels much better after that initial break in. Good to see another owner on here. I haven't seen many folks on the internet discussing their bike which is a bummer. Perhaps not ...

I picked up one of these a few days ago. I have been riding a Buddy 150 for around 6 years now (commuting). Love that little guy, never had a single issue, just routine maintenance etc. However, I moved to a location that pretty much keeps me from riding to work (all routes eventually hit 60-70mph),...

Advice for an aging Buddy 150
I have a 2008 Buddy 150, and I have just hit the 10,000 mile mark on the ol' odometer. My question is for those with "high mileage" scooters are there any big concerns I should focus on in the maintenance area of my scoot? I am mainly concerned about something on the scooter giving up whil...

Yeah I wear a full face helmet and the sound is quite impressively loud at higher speeds. I did consider raising the windshield as suggested above but I wasnt sure about the bottom half. I will move it up later this weekend and let you all know if it makes a difference. If not then I might consider ...

Recently installed windshield
I recently installed the cuppini short windshield for my buddy 150 and damn I didnt think it would have such effects. First off I probably gained 5-10 mph, which is what I was hoping for after reading some reviews on here. As a 73" guy the screen comes up to the bottom of my neck/chin which is ...

Heh. My son will be a senior at TU this fall, and has made noises about me letting him take the Buddy to school. He's neither a flaming liberal nor fluffy, so it might be tough for him.... :) Haha I might see him around. I am at TU for my last year as well. Can't wait to join the rest of the humani...

I third the c-clamp approach. When I did it I only had one clamp and just pinched the tire wall to opposite tire wall and removed and did it on the other side. Once you get one side broken you can usually walk around it then and it should break nicely. But good god getting the tire off and new one o...

I've actually found short hair to be a detriment; it gets crushed in all different directions by my helmet and looks ridiculous when I pull it off. Longer hair lays down better and keeps its shape better when you take off the helmet. Mind you, if you ride for 3+ hours straight your hair is going to...

I let the people I see worry about my hair. :D Thats how I feel about the situation, but unfortunately being the low man on the pole I have to suck it up haha. So its just a signifier of lesser gas mileage? Ive always felt the 55mph mark was a limit and if I crossed it I would explode into a ball o...

Red line on speedometer? Also NBR| what do you do for hair?
Sorry 2 questions here. I was curious about the red line on the speedometer. I have a buddy 150 and love riding it but have always been hesitant about pushing it past the red line, which for me is around 55mph mark. Is this just an aesthetics thing(huh?) or does this actually represent a mechanical ...

No snow or ice for me. I will occasionally ride in rain, but prefer not to because other drivers here seem to lose their freaking minds with the slightest dampness on the road. I feel you on that one. Although you would think they would be used to it? I will probably try to push it as far as I can ...

What would you not do on your scooter?
Hello MB, I have been riding for about 3 months now and I can say my life is better from it haha. I did change my rear tire today from the advice in this board; however, I should note that I will hopefully not make that mistake again. Those rims are way to small to not have some specialized equipmen...

Anyone have any suggestions for a good cover for the Buddy?
I unfortunately have to park my scoot outdoors as I am an apartment dweller now and was wondering if any of you have a good recommendation for a cover? I was thinking about getting just some generic cover but I would like to get maybe a scooter specific cover. I mainly want to get it so it is not ju...

New to the scoot!
I just bought a 2008 Buddy 150 and have been practicing up to take the endorsement test. I am curious what the test is like for any of you that live in Tulsa, Okla.? Any advice is much appreciated!
