the Prima metal crate is very aesthetically pleasing vs an ugly plastic crate (like I have) and I might switch over eventually... https://www.amazon.com/Milk-Crate-Metal-Prima/dp/B003JO07C0 Anyone know the dimensions? Scooterworks says 13"L x 13"W x 9-3/4"H (though I see someone on a...

Man I wish they made those to match the Brit/Oxford Racing Green... that's my ride and the greens they have would look worse than black, so black it is...

Re: Buddy 50 Resurrection - Project: Black Jack Jr

Right now my vision is upgrading various parts to improve the overall performance and changing the appearance to something similar to the Buddy Black Jack. I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions and I'll post pictures and progress in this thread. Onward! Welcome my local-friend, I am too much of a n...

Thanks for the suggestions joebug . I figured it out. When I replaced the rear turn signal bulb, I was struggling with it a bit. Turns out, I was managing to press against the ground tab... that ultimately got bent and ended up in contact with the positive. Which of course shorted out the signal rel...

Electrical craziness!

OK I'm a Buddy newb AND electricals are not my speciality. So bear with me. I was looking at increasing my visibility as I will necessarily do a lot of night driving and my scoot's color is dark. So I've added some reflective materials here and there and also put in LEDS in the "rest-of-world&q...

beautiful lineup, sorry to hear it's being cut down (and if if I ever have any pangs of regret it's that I've not quite gotten settled with my Oxford/Brit Racing Green over the gorgeous Pamploma you've got there...

Oh you're going to have a blast! Once my appt shackles are off Thursday, the Peninsula is where I plan on spending a lot of my summer scootin' around. And depending on where you are out there, it may be temperate enough not to have to store it too much of the year....

Beautiful! And crazy low milage for an 11 year old ride. Gotta love those "whim" buy scooters that never get used (I assume you checked all the things that time will do...)

Thanks for the input, Dooglas... I'm definitely prone to be optimistic and keep riding... :P Though maybe I shouldn't keep racking up ~40 miles a day or I'll be hundreds over the line by a week from Thursday...

useful feedback actually. Would you say that has to do with the design of the Buddy? I am just under 6 ft. We rode a bunch of smallish scooters in Indonesia and could both fit but not super comfortable. I don't have a ton of different scooters under my belt, experience-wise. Just this and a Vespa (...

I know this isn't actually in answer to the questions you asked but... you mention that you want to be able to carry a passenger. The Buddy is a great scooter, but whether it'll be good for two or not will depend on your height and how it's distributed. I'm 6'1", and there's no chance I could t...

Newb with Break-in service/warranty question

Hey all! Just got my ride last Thursday and really started riding it on Friday. So all of four days now. This is my first two-wheeled motorized anything, and I'm loving it so far! Perhaps too much, as I'm already very close to the 200 miles marker for the break-in servicing. When I purchased my lil'...

Re: Kmax top case

Sorry I was mistaken on the color name. The case I'm looking for is OXFORD GREEN to match my Buddy 170i which is OXFORD GREEN with the White racing stripe on the front. NOT British Racing Green. Thanks. If you find one, let me know. My dealer told me this is their most popular color (along with Pam...

Digging up a super old thread here, but it's pertinent to me! I'm getting my bike endorsement AND bike hopefully this week (one day of two of the class/exam down, then assuming all goes well, down to the WA DOL and off to pick up a scooter I already have picked out!). The dealer is in downtown Seatt...
