Re: Crankcase seals removal 2t

mjrally wrote: Sun Dec 06, 2020 9:46 pm Sorry but you'll have to split the cases for the clutch side seal.
Thanks for that info thought that would be the case.
I drained the gearbox oil and no stink of petrol in with the oil or oil loss so looks like clutch side maybe ok. Get on with the rest of checking when I get time.
Thanks again.

Crankcase seals removal 2t

Bit confused on this one. I know flywheel side seal can be replaced easily but can the clutch side after removing clutch or is it a case of splitting the cases. Was not sure if seal was on inside behind the bearing.
Thanks in advance.

Looking at the pic the holes look ok but there does appear to be minor differences up near the opening of the shaping of the inner part of the gasket. Is it possible one was for a 125 and one a 150. Or early and late. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

Leave my 2t Stella for a week or so and first start appears to be excessive smoke for quite a while. Start next day and back to normal. Is this a common problem due to a leaking bypass ball valve or something?
