An $8.00 needle file set from Harbor freight solved my problem. Slowly filed each groove on the end of the splines and the the plate and nut now go on.

Now it just needs to stay on. Torqued to spec.

It was a combination of the nut on the variator coming loose and/or I rode off and the stand caught the kick starter and pushed it down some and i didn't realize it. Still not sure why the splines on the variator are gone as it dodn't move off the drive shaft. I had to gently file the drive shaft to...

Variator splines gone

Pulled the cover and now I have three problems. First, the drive gear for the kickstarter is sheared flat from rubbing on the ratchet bolt. The splines on the drive face of the variator are gone. Lastly, I cannot get the variator to come off. It's loose and moves forward a few mils but the outside d...

suddenly loosing RPMs on longer hills

RH with 300 miles. 6G rollers, heavier spring, and Prima exhaust. Stock jetting but I live at 6,000' Was going great up the hills, while the speed would slow to maybe 20mph, the RPMs stayed fairly high. Now over the last few days, the longer 1/2 mile hills about 6% grade, it is now loosing revs and ...

I had the 90 in and that didn't seem to work very well so I went back to stock. I'll do some tests on the stock jet to see what the plug looks like. I figured with altitude and colder weather this time of year, the 82 would be a good place to start. Scooter store said they don't change the jetting w...

Fixed. Couldn't go all the way through or put a nut on back. Used a slightly longer bold with loctite since I was missing some threads at the start. Applied some JB weld at the crack, I'm not sure it really did much if anything but it's on there.

success sprayed carb clean in there and got it started. still has a bog from the start so next step is pilot jet.

I live at 6,400 feet and have stock main jet. will mess with pilot and go down a size on main.

changed jet now it won't start

Almost new RH50. Put on a Prima pipe, new rollers and new clutch spring. Put in a higher main jet and it ran ok for a half mile and was it was bogging coming up the driveway. I put the original jet back in and now it won't start. I put in a new plug, which has spark, turns over fine, just won't get ...

How about a longer threaded bolt that goes all the way through and put a nut on the back. I'm not sure I want to drill the whole out completely. I was thinking of bolting on the muffler then applying the JB. My one concern is the JB will go through the crack and lock the bolt into place. I need to g...

Cracked my engine case at exhaust mount

I was mounting my prima exhaust and wasn't paying attention and put the wrong bolt in and it cracked the case. 90% of the internal threads are still good and I was just going to mount the exhaust and then put some J&B Weld on the cracks. Any other thoughts
