Not to pick on you, but what do you mean by “won’t start”? Does the starter motor turn the engine over, but it will not fire and run? Or does the starter not turn the engine over?

If you aren’t clear about what is happening, how do you expect anyone to help you?

You need to rejet: if you run too lean you will burn up your engine. Your symptoms all sound like a lean mixture.

A few things come to mind: dirty fuel, weak spark, misconnected vacuum lines, incorrect jetting for configuration of scooter (no air box or wrong jets in replacement carb), idle speed too low.

It’s a long term solution, but next time you change the front tire get the tallest one that will fit under your fender. I did that with my Lance Cali Classic and now my speedometer is within 1 mph gps. I did the same with the rear and while it lost a bit of acceleration it gained a bit of top speed.

If it turns over it’s not seized. But the piston could have a hole burned into it from the lean mixture which means no compression. Pull the plug out and crank it over on the starter with your finger over the hole: you should feel it suck in and blow out.

It’s under warranty, take it back to the dealer and get it fixed. After 2 weeks it should not start leaking from an overfill now. If it is an overfill it’s their fault for not finding it on the pre-delivery service, so let them deal with it.

A Dremel could be hard to control. I’d try a thin hacksaw blade with a high tooth count to cut a slot in the top. A replacement screw would be the best answer.

If it was me and my only issue with the front brake was noise, I would try putting some silicone sealant on the back of the pad. You may just have a vibrating pad and the sealant will dampen any vibes. It’s probably not a bad idea to flush and refill the system and scuff up or replace the old pads.

You need to do a plug chop at wide open throttle. Right now you have no idea if your mixture is lean or fat, nor to what degree. It just is in the ball park, but who knows where?

Also what pilot/low speed jet did you put in?
