Back in 1986, my clutch went out on my 1979 Celica GT - I drove it home 15 miles shifting without a clutch (started it in 1st & then worked hard to time my approach to the 3 traffic lights & just rolled through stop signs in 1st)

seems obvious now... but break before a turn and accelerate through & out of it - do not break while turning.
I spent years breaking while turning (tons of hills in my town & lots of downhill turns)

I had to go to Chicago to ride in 35° weather this year! :) yeah... that was a crappy weekend that you were here (about our 20th in a row) & that was the middle of March. A couple days after you were here we had a HIGH temp of 23.... so it could have been worse for your ride.... but I assume it...

Well... this winter we had 26 days below 0 - most ever for us (since they started keeping records in the 1800's) + over 80" of snow (3 highest total on record for us) So... pretty crappy winter for us. + we have only had a few days over 60 so far. I know some people had it worse this winter but...

Rented a Kymco Super 8 for a couple days to run around Sanibel Island this week & it's not bad. Pretty different than my Stella & slow.... but seems like a decent machine. .... & I am still reaching for the rear break with my right foot but at least I have not grabbed the left break hand...
