resurrection time! 11g sliders on my stock buddy feel great. Obviously not a large speed gain, but acceleration is very quick and smooth. Highly recommended. Holy resurrection batman! Talk about an old thread to wake me from the dead :) Whatever it takes! :D Good to see you back. Thanks jrsr :)

I feel like I'm going much faster on the scoots than I do on my Honda CB-1. Its largely due to it being smaller, more maneuverable, and closer to the ground.

75MPH on the Buddy feels a whole lot like 90MPH on the CB-1.

I can't say for certain in the particular case of the Buddy, but it general the reason that a manufacturer would not use a part rated as high performance is going to be either durability or liability. High performance normally means low longevity or higher failure rate. Either scenario could result...

No, you've got it backwards. The 9mm nut is the locking nut, you adjust the tappet itself from the center.

The engine seized last summer, and I tore it down right before I moved. I've got everything I need to fix it, but somewhere in my move I lost the cam sprocket, and am having a hard time finding a new one.
