A quick jaunt around the 'hood
GoPro stuck to the side panel. I think it turned out pretty good. No cuts or editing, just hop on board and go!

Well I can honestly say the whitewall paint was a flop. It turned yellow within 2 days and now it is starting to peel. It looks pretty bad. Yes, I read the directions, prepped accordingly and it was gorgeous. For 2 days. Just a guess, scooter tires flex more than car tires and the paint probably ca...

Re: Buddy Kick deadlights and headlight
Has anyone found replacement deadlights for the Buddy Kick with white LEDs to use as running lights? Has anyone replaced their headlight with an LED bulb? The halogen just isn't bright enough for me. How hard is it to disassemble the handlebar housing to get to the headlight bulb to change it out? ...

I love my white walls but keeping them clean is no easy task. Wire brush and white wall cleaner spray is an usual occurence. I assume if you painted them regardless of how good the product is it wouldn't last too long with the amount of times you have to clean them with a wire brush. I never assume...

I haven't replaced the throttle cable on a Buddy but the old trick that I know is to disconnect the ends of the cable, then secure the new one to the old one. Zip ties, duct tape, whatever. When you pull the old cable out it will pull the new one with it. There may be a place where it gets hung up. ...

I have now seen a used Royal Alloy for sale. A 2020 in black with ~140 miles for $2499. Those 140 miles were pretty expensive miles assuming a $3500 purchase price plus freight, set-up, documentation fee, tax, title, and license. That's over $10 a mile. $2499 seems like a really good deal though - ...

A couple of points. A charger is meant to maintain a battery so that it lasts longer. It isn't designed to bring one back from the dead. It has circuitry designed to prevent damaging the charger or the battery if the voltage has dropped too low. Also, it was never designed to power a vehicle. I'm su...

Lithium batteries aren't a free ride. Best comparison I've found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ywopGAXP-I Interesting video. So the conclusion is Lithium may not be the best choice if you are Canadian (cold) and have a habit of leaving your headlight on. Since I live in Nevada and I take my key...

If you look at old Lambrettas you will see a hatch on the vertical panel between the seat and the floorboards. That was used for tool storage but on the RA it is where the battery sits. There's a reason small bikes don't have auto-cancelling turn signals. (why do big bikes? And how does that work?) Many years ago Harley figured out a self cancelling system. It works on the odometer. While stopped the blinker stays on. When moving it shuts off after a predetermined distance. Others...

I have three GoPros and I hate them. Hard to use. I got a JVC Adixxion and I think it is great! It takes a 1/4 20 standard tripod mount. It has two mount holes. One on the side, one on the bottom. It is waterproof without needing an extra housing. The video screen is built in, not an add on and the ...

Welcome to the scooter world. It is possible that as the scoot warms up the intake is less dense which would result in less power. It is also possible you are just getting used to the power output. The front lights are not connected. They don't meet DOT specs. That's why they are referred to as &quo...

Dkw, two strokes don't have poppet valves like four strokes do. Most use a reed type valve to keep the intake charge in the crankcase but doesn't require any maintenance. Some use a rotary valve but again, no adjustments. Most two stroke rebuilds are the result of not enough oil in the fuel. Some fo...

AAA has roadside assistance but in N. Cal you have to buy RV coverage to get it. Carry some extra fuel and a can of flat fixer. Frogg Toggs are a paper-like rain suit. Check the website for closeouts. They pack really small and light. Sometimes in the Great Plains there is just no shelter. I like to...
