I agree, the Scomadi 400 with a 4-speed would be a kick in the pants to ride. Hopefully an importer with vision will bring them into the US in the near future. I've been in communication with Scomadi about the 400 since Jan 2018. They had intended to start production in the 4th quarter of 2018 ~ an...

Have you looked at/considered a Buddy 125? Still one of the best bang-for-the-buck options out there, IHMO. A big upgrade in terms of 'go juice' versus a Roughhouse sport. So, a Buddy 161cc will outrun a 170i? Not with a stock 125cc cylinder head. Riding on the highway will wear the crank out over time. They end up having a lot of thrust play and eat belts. I've seen it twice. SYM hd200 could be considered as well. I've trashed lots of parts riding my buddy 125. They...

So I think that the fuel pump may actually be the culprit. Did not realize that these little bikes use fule pumps. I've got a new one ordered regardless. I guess I found the answer I was looking for by taking a peek at the Honda webpage: The Super Cub features a four-speed semi-automatic transmission that you shift with your left foot, like a traditional motorcycle. But here’s the unique feature: there’s no clutch to worry about—you just toe an...

I am tempted by that one as well, but it is not really a shifty - it has a left side foot shift and an auto centrifugal clutch. How does that work exactly? (How does that work in practice?)
