With the scooter OFF, hold your throttle wide open and then turn your key on. This resets a lot of that and it may be just fine afterword.

This is generally a good sign that your clutch plates are slipping on the clutch bell. Just needs to be scuffed up. A quick fix is holding in your rear brake while reving the throttle. This will clean them up a bit and get rid of that shuddering feel. It make only last for a while - it's something t...

I too am 5'11 and the Blur is just fine. The Blur wasn't made for people who are extremely tall or even really much after 6ft. I've never felt the need to scoot back on the seat and I have a 2010 Blur. I ride with a passenger all the time and they really enjoy that back section, specifically because...

Unhooking the battery is not a part of this process. All you need to do is hold the throttle wide open and then turn the key over until the ECU does it's thing (whirring noise) and then release the throttle

You can also hold the rear brake and rev the engine up to clean up the clutch plates :)

It very much could just be the oil light came on at the specific interval. Have you reset the oil light to see if it goes away?

Hopefully you got this figured out. The Blur is actually one of the most comfortable seat around - especially for the rear rider. Every woman I've ever had on the back says it was very pleasant and nice (and none of it had anything to to with the vibration ;) The one thing that everyone does is put ...

Everyone seems to have the right answer here. I am sorry your new/used Blur was doing that to you. Did you feel the engine cut back when the check engine light came on? When it truly overheats, the bikes floods the cylinder with gas to cool it off. It does sound like you need a new ECU, which any Ge...

First, I would ask why in the world you would be going 55-60mph on a new engine on a state highway? That's a great way to seize your crankshaft and top end. You need to break the engine in for about 500 miles before doing speeds like that. Be safe :?

I have the same issue and based on the service manual, it looks like you.'' have to replace the whole piece. I plan on taking my headset apart tomorrow and I will let you know for sure.

Re: Blur SS 220i variator weights...

Back in August I reported that the roller weights in the stock Blur SS were 19 X 15 mm weighing 14.5 grams. I also said that if if any were to be found I would tell you. Good news! An hour ago I had a new set of Dr. Pully slider weights installed in my Blur by my good friends at Ozark Powersports, ...

No belt issues here!

My 220 has 5100 miles on it and the belt still looks new with absolute no wear. I ride my scooter pretty hard, with a lot of highway riding and or riding at 60mph(plus).

OK. Here's another of my "don't know squat about CVTs" questions. I understand these things are pretty much free-wheelin' downhill. Are there ever hills so steep that you would overheat the brakes? I bring this up because I've read guys talking on maxi scoot sites about certain steep desc...

You'd be surprised. I live in Downtown Denver and drive nothing BUT a Blur 220 with Saddlebags. They don't stick out bad at all.

Saddlebags on the Blur

Hi everyone, I help run a scooter shop in Colorado and I also own a Blur 220. I have a set of these Downco Saddlebags and love them. I am not a fan of top boxes on the Blur for aesthetic reasons. They hold quite a bit and are a breeze to take on and off. I don't have a car and ride all year round - ...

PERFECT ANSWER

There's really not much margin built into the MSRP and most dealers don't buy outright, they pay "flooring" which is financing the bike until the sale. So they can't afford to bargain too much, and even if the bike's been sitting around a while, they might be sorta 'underwater' like a hou...

PICS of my Blur 220i

Hey everyone. I finally bought a Blur after 9 months of playing with them. The local dealer, where I now work, got 2 of them in last August and I was able to put the first 200miles on the white one. I came from a Kymco Super 9 LC and I fell in love with the bike immediately. I ended up buying the on...

Prima makes some OK ones, but my favorite is the fastrax saddlebag. http://www.dowcopowersports.com/products/motorcycle_luggage/fastrax/detail.cfm?item=50145-00 They have 2 different sizes and they velcro together on any scooter or motorc...
