Is your bike a 09?
If so, those had a problem with the check valve staying open when too much oil in the tank. A solution was to only put a half quart at a time when adding.

Shimmy shimmy shake shake
Hi, my 1981 P200e has recently developed a shimmy sometimes in 3 or 4th gears. Mostle when reducing speed and happens too when cruising 3rd and 4th gear.
Not on acceleration though.
Any ideas? Thanks

ha yeah, like a time capsule. neat idea. You know when I bought my wife's wall clock, I thought it was pretty neat. That was a 1995. Little did I know that I have to pay $140 every 5 years to get that thing cleaned and oiled. And I bought a ship's clock about 8 years ago, and have had to pay that pr...

Nobody, I sure don't have a manual. But I have changed out clutch cables and I have helped other friends do things to theirs but so far have never pulled the gas tank and the oil tank. Hey do I have to disconnect the gas hose and the oil hose at the bottoms of these tanks before I lift it out? And i...

you're welcomed. it happened to me and the forum here told me the same thing. I had to remove the hub and clean it all up. I had no rear brakes as it all was covered in oil. i still use the side stand, but put it on center when starting and running. Turn off the motor, then slap it down on the side ...

i would reply directly to the Craigslist ad... which you did. . and the seller refered you to their aunt. Bow email the aunt and say that youll pick it up INSTEAD of her delivering it to you. Id say, take her as far as you can WITHOUT giving uo any money in anyway shape or form. Play along and see i...

Id suggest to check for spark, if there is, then start negotiating. Offer a 950 opening bid. Thatll plea...

Thanks Stilts. I ordered a new cable from the Scooter Lounge. Would you or others recommend also getting new pinch bolts while I'm at it? I am sad to say, that it is possible, that it is running full out at 40 to 45 miles an hour. That's one of the reasons I got rid of my 2010 for stroke, because it was a pooch. It was slower than molasses and it ran great, it was just too damn slow. I put on a straight pipe rejected the carburetor an...

I would also like to ad that your decision could also depend on how long youde like to keep the bike. Like everyone says, that the parts will dry up at some point. If you plan on keeping it for over 5 years, it may start requiring maintenance. Especially oil filters. Some have had very few problems ...
