I ordered a final gear when the other mods were getting done but I was told when it got put in it did not fit right so I still have the stock gear in. I went with what scooterworks recomended for a final drive to start with and I still want to do it, just need to talk to them again and see what fits.

Stator
Is there a bigger replacement or a way to get more power to be able to run more electrical stuff? I recall there being stator talk on here before but didn't find any info on this.

I did it, finally
I got the 161cc kit and 150 head, prima pipe, ncy clutch and bell, ncy disc, forks, shock and vee ruber tires. already had the dr. pulley variator. Man, the kit and pipe make a world of difference. Going from an indicated 40-65 is a breeze, climbing hills is smoother and better. All around very good...

$60 for this?
http://www.scooterworks.com/_P7016.cfm
Would it be pretty easy just to fab something like this at home?
Scooterworks also has stainless steel racing valves- any benefits to those?

So has anyone put on the 26mm ncy carb they offer at scooterworks with the 161cc kit? I did a search and found nothing about someone doing it. Sound someone switching to a mikuni carb-24mm-still the same size as the buddy, right?

150 head
Scooterworks is out of the ncy 150 head right now and might not be in in stock for 1-2 weeks. I found it at these two places but wanted to know if anyone has used them or another legit place to get one one at. http://mpgmotors.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=6537 http://www.scooterpartsplac...

I have with my prima roll bag and givi saddle bags carried $80-100 worth of groceries no problem and I am sure that is more than 7 lbs per bag, of course I wasnt riding far and not speeding through turns so not...

Rear shock advice
Which rear shock to get, the NCY or one of the YSS one's? If a YSS which one? Is NCY the only one with a replacement front shock, or the only one worth considering?
Thanks

I have been riding for a while now, about 4 seasons and still just get tense about it. I did take the MSF course, post crash to get my license. I guess just practice. I do agree with more protection. I do feel more confident riding when at least wearing jeans vs shorst and sandle type shoes. Thanks ...

So, I have been riding a buddy since the 2006 model, which I totaled about a little more than year into it. I went around a turn pretty fast, scraped my center stand and got scared pulled the brake and over to the other side I went. Bought an 08 model and love riding but am still scared to get low. ...
