This followed me home today. It will fit nicely in the garage with the Buddy 50 and Blackjack.

Make them an offer of what you think its worth. Every market is different, but I would agree, that seems high.

The racks, topcase, windscreen, and shocks are nice upgrades.

Thanks folks, I'll try some Seafoam first. We've never had any issues with our Buddy 50 carb clogging, and it is ridden fairly sporadically as well.

Buddy 150 hesistation

Internet experts, help me diagnose an issue with a new to me Blackjack. Our scooter seems to hesitate on acceleration until it is warmed up. It "chugs" while holding the throttle steady. Opening the throttle seems to help. As it warms up, this goes away. We purchased the scooter in June, a...

I know I'm a bit late to the conversation, but the lock I used when my wife was commuting regularly was an OnGuard Beast http://www.onguardlock.com/store/beast-8016 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/51e6e76be4b066098f51193e/1386103566213-RS99UAHZQ2Q5255P09DZ/ke17ZwdGBToddI8pDm48kLxnK526Y...

If you are going to buy off the internet check out www.revzilla.com they have good prices, free shipping on orders over $40, and they sell enough tires that they shouldn't have old tires sitting around. I looked at there website and was going to get them there but they don’t have the front tire i...

That's where I've gotten my tires, they were 6mos old when they showed up at my door.

New scoot acquired. Yesterday a Blackjack followed us home. My wife is still in the process of obtaining her motorcycle endorsement, so for now its my ride. I can't believe the performance of this little 150.

My guess is emissions is going to kill the Buddy 50 eventually. I imagine a 4T is was easier to be compliant, so I'm glad to see Genuine introducing more 50cc scoots. What I don't understand is pricing. The Buddy is $100 more than the new Brio and Urbano. How is a carb'd 2T rear drum scoot with 10&q...

I think this is what I'm looking for https://www.amazon.com/Motorcycle-Reflectors-Universal-Reflector-Accessory/dp/B07KLV3YBK You'll need an extension to reach the hole. It is in the center of the tube, not on the outside edge. At least that is how the tab is on mine. And my buddy only has the tab ...

I'm pretty sure in Asian markets there is no reflector, and in Europe, it is mounted much higher, thus the zip-tied reflectors in the US market. Also, the tab is only on the brake side of the forks. Its probably for a different caliper, sensor, or something to that effect, likely on a different mode...

I think that depends where you live. In Nevada, you can take the MSF course which essentially gives you an "M" endorsement. You just take your certificate to the DMV and done. OR, you can simply take a road test, and no "safety and skills course". Pass it and get a license. I th...

In case you hadn't considered this thought... In Washington state, any licensed driver can operate a 50, but anything bigger than that requires a motorcycle license. We're well aware of this. It was the same way in MN when we bought the 50. I've had my M license for a long time now, and the only re...

Moving beyond 50cc

We've had our Buddy 50 for the better part of the decade now. When we first bought it, my wife was using it for commuting in Minneapolis. We have now moved to Olympia, WA, and the 50cc is seeing less road time. My wife's commute is no longer scooter comparable, and for errands the 50 really struggle...

Re: Observations After 9 Days Of Scooter Ownership

3) Seems to me that riding a scooter is more difficult than riding a motorcycle because you straddle a motorcycle, like a bicycle (see #1). But on the scoot you don't need to worry about the clutch or gearbox. Its also way lighter, so stopping at lights there's much less of a concern of dropping it...

Complete body panel swap?

How difficult would it be to do a complete swap? The body panels are identical across the engine sizes, correct? The reason I'm asking is this spring I bought my gf a red Buddy 50. She loves it, but secretly so do I. I ride it quite a bit, so I decided to shop for one of my own. I've found a 125 loc...

I'm pretty happy with my Aprilia Futura. Except for when its down needing parts, then I really regret buying an Italian bike. What year is that? Is it from before Piaggio owned Aprilia? Pre-merger, Aprilia had the worst reputation in the market for parts availability. Things got really confused whe...

I keep eyeing the Aprilia Mana everytime I go into the Aprilia dealership. Automatic, large storage in the "tank" upright seating and you can get NOW for $5,799. Wow! Where are you getting the $5,799 price? Isn't MSRP somewhere around $9,500? The dealer in my neck of the woods always char...
