I like the idea of a buddy 125 over a buddy 50 for a couple of reasons. I feel that for the price difference you get a whole lot more capability as far as the speed and roads allowed to travel on. seems most are close to 1000 with all the fees included. So I would budget to add the MSRP or whatever the scooter is selling for and budget the 1000 and you will be safe.

HID's technically run at 35w after the initial turn on from the ballast, compared to the stock output of 50w's. So tech the HID's will run cooler and at a lower wattage.
