Heads up on the USB port though, it's only hot/connected when the ignition is on. Turn the key off, and you'll break the connection, and the battery tender won't be able to back-charge.

Go big. Stock jetting on the roughhouse is 82, and you have to go to mid 90s with a top end kit. You'll also want to swap your idle jet from a 35 to a 40.

Not sure on the timing mark orientation, but if the key sheared, the whole flywheel can absolutely rotate out of place. I'd suggest pulling the flywheel to have a look.
