Please don't take this the wrong way, but have you run the VIN through the genuine's vin checker to make sure it is a 125, and not a 50. The seller may have replaced the 50 sticker with a 125 one.

scoot nashville has a weekly meet up and rides, and Dimelo Motor Works usually hosts a ride each spring, and sometimes on Fridays in the summer. Both have face book pages.

There is or was an authorized repair shop. The Genuine site appears down otherwise I'd look it up. Scooterworks, I believe can get you parts that aren't listed on their site if you call them.

I live in TN and bought my buddy in 2008, and I got my license at the time. From what I could tell back then there wasn't a separate scooter license, anything 50cc and up requires a license.
