A generator would need gas though (or something). I guess I was wondering about rechargeable models.

These MSF classes are popular, I just looked into taking one and there is like a two month wait list at every place that teaches it.

I suspected range would be a problem. I bet its tough because good batteries are heavy, and heavy is not good for torque and quickness in a small package.

I have not fooled with the Scooter's caliper, but if you can not push the piston down with a clap or something, I think you may have a bad caliper. If the brakes needed bleeding it would not cause that symptom.

That may be the case for Genuine, but my local Vespa dealer has lots of those and the Piaggo models. Could be the cost keeping those in Stock.

I know two people who own Diesel Jetta's and love them to death. The pick up and gas mileage is the reason. One of them told me he drove like 600 miles on a tank one time and that was his record.

I wholeheartedly agree. There are ways to protect the wildlife and drill. Of course it won't be perfect, but why not use the resources natural to our country.

It scares me to think about it (shakes it off). At $20 a gallon I would drive my scooter to work everyday, it would still not be enough to ride a bike.

On the accuracy of GPS, it is extremely accurate if you take into account the short delay between transmitting and receiving the data. But if you maintained a speed for a few seconds it would be more accurate than any RPM based speedometer.

I am getting a rattler 110 soon and I weigh about 225. I am new to scootering and I am wondering how this will affect the top speed of it. Will it mean I can expect a regulated 55 mph top speed, or will it be reduced.

I have been looking at scooters/motorcycles now for a few months. I had decided that a motorcycle was the way to go for street transportation because the $$ per CC ratio seemed much lower.

I have lucked into a rattler for really cheap. But this was luck, but it gives me the toy I was looking for.
