back in september a cager tried to run me over while i was riding olive (my stella)
well she was considered a total loss even though she was rideable
the front fener was bent up and scratched thru the steel
same with the left side cowel
the left mirror was damaged
along with the leg shield trim
there was a dent in the rear fender/frame under the bumper
and to top it off she wasnt running right
but withen days of finding out even though she was totaled i was able to keep her i started fixing her
got her running right (broken grounding strap on the coil)
and started ordering goodies new and used

non cat stock style exhaust maybe soon to be swaped for a simminoe pipe

24/24 carb so its ready for future mods

now to start making her one of a kind

yep thats right a 39 ford teardrop tail light will replace the ugly stocker

i know have a hole in the fender and have fixed the dent in the fender

now she is ready for primer and body work paint will come later after i fix the cowels and do what ever other body mods come to mind like cutting up the bent up stock fender

running light

brake light

Nice! Looking forward to seeing the final product. And excellent job of making lemonade out of a lemony situation.

Sweet, I saw your progress on Stella Speed. Are you planning to re-paint it all the original color (I'm guessing yes by the name) or doing something different? Looks good so far!

im thinking about staying with the same color maybe some sort of satin or semigloss black graphics
i say a sticker with animal(from the muppet show) i liked but is says drive instead of ride so if i figure out what i want i will paint the black place the sticker or masking and then spray the advacado again i did find the ppg codes
i still have to figure out what im going to do for rear turn signals
i had wanted to put 59 caddy bullit nose lights but they are too big
so im looking for some domed 2 in dia marker lights for a truck

besides it will still be a few months before it will be warm enough and dry enough to paint (i have no heat in the garage)

well olive went out for a test run today

just seconds after taking her off the lift she had to go back up

one of the angles on the center stand was hitting the simonini pipe
so out came the grinder and off came the obstruction

im not worried about taking it out as the stock didnt have the cross braces so i doubt it is needed

wow

she runs like a top
i can now hit 50 indicated in 3rd and easily hit 60 indicated in 4th
i didnt get a good run as i was just going up and down my road and had to let off before i found the sand and the snow and ice on the road
a recap of the mods so far
vsx airfilter
24/24 carb
sominini pipe

well i added a cht to her today as the plug chops look good but are on the lean side of good

the guage bucket is made from a bit of exhasut tubing with a bit of flat stock welded on and that goes to the mirror mounting locations

i know some people have been mounting them in the top of the glove box but i thought it looked better up high and it is more visable

all 4 new lights are installed and wired up
they are actualy brighter then the new tail light
so there are now 5 running lights on the back of her
2 left and 2 right turn signals
and one stop lights
