To keep us inkheads from continuing to hijack dakotamouse's patch thread
http://www.modernbuddy.com/forum/topic14422.html I thought it was time to start another scooter tat thread. Ya just can't have too many of them!
If ya got em show em here!
Mine was based on a photo of me on a 64 GL on the tail of the dragon

I still think thats one of the awesomest scooter tats I've seen so far.
I don't have any scooter ones, but have quite a few others! I could see a scooter one in my future though. _________________ Checkout Voodoo Buddy for current mods.

But how many things can you buy which you know you will never lose (barring a gearless scooter accident) _________________ "Only the curious have, if they live, a tale worth telling at all" Alastair Reid

Hmm... I do have a bad habit of losing things. I'm WAY to indecisive anyways. I can't even even decide on some graphics for my Vespa (which are not even permanent),
let alone some graphics for my body! _________________

I have to admit that the face is one area that I wouldn't tattoo. I feel like my face is part of my personality and to cover it with tattoos would somehow change me. I know its completly irrational, and I have friends with beautiful face tattoos, but i couldn't see myself doing it. _________________ "Only the curious have, if they live, a tale worth telling at all" Alastair Reid

I have plans to get something in memory of my father and mother and something for each of my children, I have not yet figured out what, though (or where since the company I work for is extremely conservative).
Decisions, decisions...
My daughter is a scooterist in training, so something small with a fairy and a scooter would be very cool. My daughter has always reminded me (physically as well as psychologically) of Tinkerbell.
My son is a geek, but he is excited about the fact that next year (gulp) he is going to be old enough to get his license (oy my insurance rates!) and he has already decided that he thinks that he is getting my Buddy... I am not so sure.

When my son was born I kept the hospital ID card that had his footprint from the day he was born on it, went to my tattoo artist and got that footprint on my left shoulder. My son is 3 now and LOVES it. He loves to put his foot next to it and see how much bigger his foot is now. _________________ Checkout Voodoo Buddy for current mods.

That is AWESOME! I wish I had thought of that. Unfortunately, my son is nearly 15 now, almost a foot taller than I am and his feet are bigger than my own. My daughter is about 5 inches taller than I am and wears my shoes . LOL
I have a friend that had a tat of her first husband's handprint (he died when she was pregnant) on her belly where he used to put his hand to feel the baby inside and their baby's handprint inside his father's. When she got pregnant with her new husband's baby she got a stretch mark right through the handprints, it was really heartbreaking. Taught me that positioning of artwork is an important consideration.
Enjoy the time because you are going to turn around a few tomorrows from now and your kid is going to be looking you in the eye.

I've thought about getting a tattoo from time to time, but I think I've passed the period of my life where body modification seems like fun, so it'll probably never happen.
A guy I know, on the other hand, has been more adventurous. He has this tattoo on his upper arm, and gets some peculiar looks over it, but I think he enjoys that.

I have thought about it, but I am a big 'cowar-chicken' people have told me 'tats' don't hurt, depending where it's applied, I just don't like pain!!
My daughter has a really nice 'gardian angel' on her right shoulder, when she deployed to IraQ I took a photo of it and if god forbid something happened to her I was going to have the same done but with her face. (phew.... nothing happened to her)
When my son deployed I told him I was just going to have his name put on my side so as to 'always have him on my side'
I have NO proof of this other than 'word of mouth' but I knew someone years ago who said he had a on the head of his penis!!!!!

I had my nose pierced two different times, both times by the same guy, he was very skilled. The first time I actually did not feel it at all-he told me to breathe in and out 3 times and on the third breath he was going to do it, I did and then he started talking about aftercare and I asked him when he was going to do it. The second time was not so great, we think he hit some fibrous tissue or something because he had to go back to the right side (I had let the first one close because of a surgery).
I had my eyebrow pierced, same guy again and he did it quick as a flash and it was over with, that one pinched, but I am not sure if it was the little clamp thing that he used to position things to prepare for the piercing or the actual piercing.
My pain tolerance varies, I consider myself to be a big baby but 9#9oz of baby totally naturally and a total of 36 hours of Pitocin labor says differently I guess. Show me a needle and I break out in a cold sweat though...

No, no scooter tats or any others. I'm too much of a wimp. If I was going to get one, and if the artist was also medically trained in novacaine injections, it would be of Pisces because from birth to grave that's the only thing about me that will never, ever change.

I have no tattoos... but now that ya'll mention it, I can see this happening someday. What I would need is something that really speaks to why two wheels is boss.
Two wheels is better than four because we take up less space and energy, corner better, are forced to be more aware of what we're doing, are an affordable means of transportation for poor (me!) people, etc. But why are two wheels better than one? Should I be trying out unicycling or this
(okay, still *technically* two wheels...) before I get some ink?
Any ideas? Is there some Da Vinci drawing somewhere of a perfect two-wheeled vehicle?
And just to note: previously the only tattoo I thought I could commit to permanently would be prayer-ish type somethings on the bottoms of my feet (a la Sherman Alexie - a prayer with every footstep), but outside of an accident that required traction, this didn't seem viable. So I'm beginning to think of scootering as on par with prayer, dear friends.

" Is there some Da Vinci drawing somewhere of a perfect two-wheeled vehicle?"
The perfect two wheeled vehicle is a fixed gear bicycle, but a Buddy is a very close second. Cheap, reliable, and fun, like a bottle of cheap wine without all the nasty after effects _________________ "Only the curious have, if they live, a tale worth telling at all" Alastair Reid

I have a tat, but no scooter tat for the moment.
My friend's tat is in the current Scoot Magazine (one with 4-stroke Stella).

I'm currently trying to design a scooter related tat, but sadly my sketching skills have turned to crap due to lack of use. So it shall take some time. _________________ Life is too short to drink bad coffee.

3 total, no scooter. 2 Kanji, one Indian spear. One is mine, loosely translated as protection for me and the things in my life and it's surrounded by the symbol for Tiger (year I was born). Another is the symbol for "father" in front of a green flame for my 1st son, and last is a spear for my 2nd son with two eagle feathers hanging off it for both my kids. I'll work on pics later _________________ EZPZ #65
