a) fit my baby blue 125
b) rust less because they are painted
c) look ok with the baby blue color?
my stock rims rusted almost over night. No rust 2 weeks ago and lots today. weird.

Yep, they'll fit fine. The 150's use the same rims as the 125's. _________________ Checkout Voodoo Buddy for current mods.

Just tell folsk to be careful when mounting tires on them. My 50 has little bits of rust around the edge of the rim after getting a new set of tires cause they chipped the paint in the process I figure its only a matter of time before I have them powder coated anyway though. _________________ "Only the curious have, if they live, a tale worth telling at all" Alastair Reid

I did this in photoshop in a second. I just took the wheels off the st. tropez from the genuine website, and pasted them onto the body of the baby blue standard 125.

yes chrome can be very expensive
plating it is very labor intensive
first they will have to make every thing picture perfect fill the low spots with lead buff things out
then the cleaning process
then the plating process
then after that is all done then they have to go back buff and shine and if there are any defects go back and do it all again _________________ z 2008 zuma 50

but I have heard that some folks are now power coating things chrome so you can get the chrome look, just not the chrome durability for significantly less money. I havn't seen anything powder caoted this way myself so I'm not sure just how much like chrome it really looks. _________________ "Only the curious have, if they live, a tale worth telling at all" Alastair Reid

i would vote for powder coat. it's virtually rust proof, and corrosion proof. perfect for the one part of your scooter that's also touching the ground.

You can color match the powder coat pretty easy for touch up. Say no to chrome. _________________ no i don't ride a scooter, i am a scooter pilot!

Chrome would look amazing, but then wear and weather away quickly with all the dust and grime on the road.
Powder coating would make your rims look invincible and good on day 1000 as they did on day 1.

Just paint yours, the new ones will scratch / chip when installing tires. It's almost impossible to avoid. Your stock wheels are painted silver, same thing will happen to the blue ones. You need to clean your wheels more often because of the salt content in your air _________________
