I really like the compass. Right now i have a little compass on my scooter key chain but would like something more permanent.
How is it mounted?

Here's a link to the P Mount from Formotion Products.
http://www.formotionproducts.com/ACC%20P%20Mount.htm
It took more Dremel work on the plastic than I would have liked and I needed my wife's extra set of hands to thread the set screw. It definitely takes some finessing. _________________ twharton

Can you tell me the Part Number from Scoot Richmond of your Short Fly Screen? I like the looks of it, but I can't seem to find it in Scoot's Web Site.
You Buddy is a good looker. Thanks in advance.

Dave,
You asked this on another thread when I said I was going to do it. I totally respect where you are coming from and all your posts that I've seen. I know you are one of the 'originali' and have contributed more to this, I'm not sure if it's a sport but it certainly is a movement or mindset, for many many years. I don't need a thermometer. Hell I don't need a scooter but now I have two.
I think the reason I cheesed this up is satisfying my latent desire for a lowrider type ride when I was a kid in the early 70's. If it's any consolation the only plans I've got for my PX-150 are a floor mat and wheel cover and maybe a new seat but no bling.
Also on those photos that have the thermometer did you see the temperature? It's accurate and with 92-95% humidity we've got a heat index of 110-115. The water in my pool is at 90!

You made some great looking enhancements to your Buddy. I am also glad that you included a list of where you purchased each of those enhancements so if I see an enhancement on your Buddy that I want to copy I know exactly where to get it.
This is a very cool Buddy but I can think of one more addition which would make this even cooler. Next to the temperature gauge you need an anemometer so that you can compute wind chill. The faster you ride, the greater the wind chill. With the anemometer you will be able to compute how much cooler you are while riding your Buddy.

"Need"
Do we "need" whitewalls, or chrome, or print seat covers?
Nope.
But we buy and mod and buy and mod because we want to make something we love and enjoy so much personal and unique.
If I only bought what I "need" I would live in a 1 bedroom shack and wear flour sacks insetad of clothes that help me feel and look good. But that isn't exactly supporting free-market economy now is it?

Thats about a beauty of a Buddy! Nice job.
It appears as if I've met-my-match in the detailing dept., here on Modern Buddy! It looks like you are as liberal as I am with the emolient sprays (I call it "Goose Semen", I don't know why...I actually use something called "Surface Guard" from Oregon's Mt. Hood Chemical Co., a true detailing nut understands "Goose Semen" immediately when referring to such goos and ointments for machines), as can be evidenced by it glistening on the textured plastic parts in that picture?
That's a concours quality detail job, on a really nice Buddy. Well done. _________________ Shaddup and ride!

I want to get a clock and thermometer for my buddy. Besides your method of getting adhesive ones and adding them to the extra mirrors, are there other options for installation? Is there any room to stick them near the speedometer surface, i.e. is there enough flat surface to adhere to? And how did you mount the compass? Did it involve cutting into the plastic and is that an option for the Formotion clock and thermometer?

ok, so this isn't a great pic, but it shows how I placed my Formotion clock.

I LOVE THAT BUD TWHARTON!!!
I wanted to wait until I was "done", but that could be a while, so here's my Bud ... (so far)
* Italian Flag valve stem caps & plate bolts: Scooterworks
* stock signals to runners: thanks, ScooterMonkey
* handlebar clock (watch face): Kmart
* Stebel Nautilus earth-shaking horn: Scooterworks
* corduroy seat cover & custom paint: me
* "JET FUEL ONLY" license frame: autotags4u
* reflective orange rim tape: ebay motors
* chopped front fender: me
* Green Hornet insignia stickers: 4bumberstickers
* chrome rear rack: Scooterworks
I plan to finish my front fender out with white trim and a chrome crest. There will
definitely be pinstripes on the front panel (probably black or dark green) most likely
they will be in the shape of wings... not certain. I also plan to (eventually) get a Prima
pipe and maybe some of that thin chrome tape to trim everything out... I'm even
considering making a black seat cover with white and beige trim to match everything
better, but that first seat cover was a PAIN IN THE BUTT!
Anyways, here's what he looks like right now!

I went up there a little while back and Jimmy said we could DEFINITELY use their store as a meet-up local. He was actually really excited! He can't wait til they start selling Genuine scoots since he wants a Buddy really bad. He said he likes the Italia, but he doesn't want to have the same as me, so I assume he will get a different international... I don't mind if he gets an Italia, then we will be BUD BROTHERS! um... except I'm a girl...
I've been trying to get the word out on other forums, but with little success. I did manage to find a guy on the Helix discussion board and maybe somebody on provoscooter that has a Zuma. LETS ROLL PENSACOLA! _________________

Congrats!!! I think maybe you are the first MB member with the '08 Italia150 (Not for sure, correct me if I'm wrong)? Anyways, it was definitely a tough choice between all 3 of the internationals. At least your dealer was cool enough to knock some money off, from what I hear that is kinda rare. Anyways, when are you picking it up? _________________

KRUSTY, how did you administer the orange rim tape? Did you have to remove the tires? Where can I order some of that? I love orange--have an orange helmet, so it would work perfectly.

It is from ebay... Just google scooter rim tape or Vespa rim tape and it should be the first on the list. They come in sections (4 pieces per wheel) so you don't have to take the tires off. You will probably have to cut them a little bit, but it is pretty easy, just make sure you clean the rim really well. _________________

Hey KRUSTY - your scooter is looking so super cool! After reading about everyone's mods on this forum, it seems like I'll eventually have an original scoot just by doing nothing (although I won't be able to hold off on mods forever)!! How did you affix the watch face? I totally want a clock and a thermometer. _________________ *** scootie scoot scoot ***

Sorry, I fixed it... I had so many pics on my photobucket account I couldn't find 'em without scrolling through everything, so I put them in sub-folders which broke all the links. I know I have a butt-load of missing photos on MB, so if you see some that say they've been deleted, just PM me like scoots4me did and I'll restore it. Thanks for your concern! _________________

Krusty - that is a beautiful job! You are truly an artist, and I bow before you.
I saw the pics of your helmet in another thread, and it's amazing too.
You could probably make some major $$ if you hired out . . .
