You are probably close to the max rider weight of the vehicle, but that shouldn't scare you off. Plan on picking up a spare belt and rollers, as you're probably going to wear through them slightly faster than usual. Same for clutch pads, you may wear through them faster, but they are pretty tough on this model. As for performance parts, I don't know if there is anything available for this one, so my advice would be to pay attention to the wear-out parts, and ride safely.

What about tire pressure? I am think I will run 35psi instead of 30....

Probably not a bad idea, but make sure you don't overpressurize. Check the max pressure rating on the tires before bumping it up.

Right now... the scoot is getting. Valves done, new rollers, new belt, and new air filter. Hopefully I will be good for a bit.

This is neither here nor there but I was just thinking...the Blur 220i has a dry weight of 320lb and if I'm reading this right, the OP has a weight of 320lb. That would be like a 2019 Ford Mustang being driven by a 3800lb driver.Sad

by "throttle body issue", do you mean fueling problems? Some of the early Blur 220i are known to have some FI problems. You can try resetting the ECU. I don't remember exactly what the procedure is though.

Let's see. The average rider for a Blur would be at least 1/2 the weight of the scooter. By the above logic that would lead you to expect that the average weight of the driver of a Ford Mustang would be 1900 lbs - or it would lead you to believe that this kind of comparison is nonsense.

Scoot dies at low rpm randomly. Must be a sensor in throttle body.

Probably not. Try a TPS reset.

With key off, twist the throttle as if you are flooring it. Full throttle.

While holding throttle wide open, turn key to the on position. DO NOT START ENGINE, just turn key to the on position.

Wait for the speedometer needle to go through a sweep, and the check engine light to turn off.

After this happens, release the throttle.

Turn key to off position.


Start bike, and see if the idle has smoothed out.
