Just got her back yesterday-and I must thank Kevin Lewin of triple7kustomz.com for his amazing work on this project. I had rattlecanned my buddy and wasn't happy with the results, so I consulted a guy that races motorcycles and he recommended Kevin Lewin of triple7 in nashville. Told him I wanted an Evel theme, and he researched Evel's style and gave me a concept drawing of the scoot & helmet. I couldn't believe the final result-he really outdid himself. He really hopes to get more scooter business, so if you're in the area, give him a call at 615-804-2023.

I have a black seat & floormat on backorder, and will probably install a prima pipe & chrome rear rack soon. In the meantime, I'm on the lookout for a ring of fire to jump through.

Forget "ring of fire"...! SNAKE RIVER GORGE baby!

Please tell me you have a white jumpsuit with sequins in your closet? You cannot just drive that bad boy around in sweats and sneakers!

Very cool!

Would you disclose what it cost for those of us who might be interested in doing something of the like? Only giving us a ballpark is fine.

Clap Clap Clap
That is freakin awesome!!!

I looked at the pics before I read the text and thought - that thing is just screaming for a custom stitched black leather saddle and some trick grips - then I read your backorder.

beautiful work - props to Kevin & triple7

how long have they been around?? My brother lived in Nashville about 30 years ago and at the time had a custom painted red white and blue '63 Corvette Coupe, diamond stitched leather seats and it was bad azz.

Great paint job!

Now all you need is:

1: White jumpsuit

2: Cape

3: Big oval belt buckle with the obligatory "EK" initials [see below]

4: A really big ditch

EK was quite the inappropriate influence on me growing up. Thanks to him the first thing I did after getting my 1st bike was to build a ramp and start jumping things... when mom wasn't looking. Fortunately rough terrain [no pavement] and one speed kept me slow enough to avoid any serious injury. Unfortunately my 1st kiddy bike had solid rubber tires so landings kinda' hurt Smile

modernbuddy.com should have the Buddy Awards just to give you "Best Custom Paint" for 2008.

... hey, Buddy Awards ... not a bad idea

No kidding, me too. My friends and I used to dress up in our snow suits (in the summer) and lie down at the end of the ramp so friends could jump over the ramp AND us. Then we'd switch.

Good times, good times.

Excellent! Very creative. Suddenly my new black Buddy doesn't look so good to me. Actually, I'd be thinking about a custom paint job, perhaps with a Harley theme ... but that will wait until next year. Wonder if the Teutuls (American Chopper) would be interested in a smaller scale project.

thanks for the kind words fellas. For those wondering about cost, I got a deal in my opinion (considering he had about 50 hours in it), but figure ballpark of $1,000-probably less if you haven't thrown five cans of crappy army green krylon on it beforehand. And yes, I'm actively looking for the appropriate outfit to wear on this bad boy. May have to grow sideburns and find some buses to jump as well. I'll get some better pics when the new parts come in.

Wow, what a great job!

While a black seat would look better, there are a lot of white ones available—they were only sold with the pink Buddys, which have been discontinued (for the most part). You could also do a thematic seat cover or go full-on and have your current seat re-upholstered in a stars & stripes pattern.

Also very cool of you to use my template drawing, and they put it on the website! That's super snazzy and they interpreted your design very well Very Happy

I wasn't sure who to thank for the template, so thanks Krusty. As for the design, that was all Kevin. All I told him was that I wanted an Evel themed scooter, he took it from there. Got my black seat, black center mat, chrome rear rack installed. Just waiting on the grips & I'll get some new pics.

Great job!

Told him I wanted an Evel theme, & helmet.
