I have a dumb question. How driveable are these on anything but strait , smooth roads? I do like that women are driving them. pretty cool since that kind of thing is typically guy centric.

I don't think the women pictured are driving them, I think they're hired models. Notice two of them appear with multiple um "scooters."

at least if this is the same link as was posted a month or so ago. :D

I think peabody99 has it right. Models aren't usually named, and the designs on many of these are very feminine.

"Megumi Takada & Hiroe Kobayashi on Honda Fusion 3000."

Even in Japan, even among people who would create such atrocities, I find it hard to believe you'd own more than one of these...

that being said, "Hisashi said the type of people buying them vary among mechanics, delivery drivers and lots of girls. "

Gak! That looks like what you would end up with if the illegitament offspring of a scooter and an Airstream made a baby with a cruiser and now that baby has turned 16 and is begging for attention.

More money than sense.

Hm....I wonder how "tall" they are. I guess it's hard for them to have one foot down with the scooters being stock.

If anyone thought the scooters were ugly, then you'd have to feel the same way about these USA versions of customs:

My point was that here in the USA, some people would be :bleh: ing the Japanese custom scoots, while in Japan, some people would be :bleh: ing the USA custom motorcycles. It's all a matter of perspective and what one is used to. As I said in previous threads of the same subject, it's all "art" and the builder's creativity. I wouldn't want to ride either one of them (scoot or motorcycle), but from an "art" standpoint, they both look great in their own ways. :)
