What have you named your Buddy?

Post by Scootin_in_MS »

I just got my cream Buddy last night, and have been riding off and on all day. I am so in love...And the color is awesome. I have given this much thought, and have decided on the name Minnie Pearl. How about you guys? What have you been naming your Buddies?

I'm leaning towards "Tink"

My Husband got the cream one too. I think it looks like the color of Egg Nog or French Vanilla Ice Cream. Tried to get him to name it "Frenchie" or better yet "Eggbert" He ex-nayed both of them.

It's almost the same color as my wedding pearls. That's what gave me the name. I like Eggbert for a boy :nerd:

Great ideas for names. Any suggestions for my orange Buddy? Something fun and a bit retro... orange crush, creamsicle-esque... so... food related would be good. I'm hungry.

crap, I have been calling both of ours "Buddy". not the Buddy but Buddy, as in that's each of their names. Example: "We should take Buddy to Tremont for ice cream".

New to Modern Buddy

Post by hootersonscooters »

Hello All,
My friend and I just returned from Price of Cleveland. We ended up purchasing a Black and an Ivory Buddy.

We still haven't named our Buddys but I'm sure we'll think of something clever.

I'm in process of building a house in Tremont, Oh and noticed that a member (pea99) is a happy owner of a couple of Buddys as well.

Keep an eye out for us bopping around Lincoln Park.

ha! I hope to see you guys tomorrow at the taste of tremont. I we will be there on the cream buddy, and later my spouse on the black (he has to take the stupid car to the airport to drop his daughter off). Also my friend with the orange will be there. We should form a gang!!!!!!! We live in the flats and go to Tremont often on the buddies-in fact are you nice lady who came down to talk to us in front of the cuban sandwich shop? If not, she wanted the pink, so there may be even more Buddies in the hood.

Hi neighbor. I'm out here west of you in Lorain County. I've got a Vespa and my wife Deb has a Metropolitan.

Phil had the Pink Buddy that he rode around Lake Erie at the Experienced Rider Class I was at a couple of months ago. Pretty nice scooter!

Congrats on your new scoots!

I can't believe how many people ask "What did you name your scooter?" It never occurred to me. So I just went with "Her Royal Pinkness". I guess I'll have to think on it.

:D Mine is pink and I call it the "barbie bike" - with the basket accessory (if I get it ) it will look like a little girl's bike - probably won't go with the basket but will go for the windshield and rear cargo box. If they come out with the lap cover and the handbar muffler I will get those for warmth in the winter

What did you name your Buddy

Post by dbuddy »

Hi everybody. This is my first post. My husband and I both got orange Buddy (50cc) last Friday. I think we were the first in Colorado. Wow, what fun! I think I'm naming my Buddy Pokey, as in Gumby and Pokey. (Is anyone out there old enough to remember Gumby and Pokey?) But its not true, my Buddy is anything but pokey. I caught myself doing 40 mpr in a 30 mph zone.

Would it be too politically incorrect to put a blue "01" on the front and call it the "General Lee?" Yeeeeee-ha!

If you do that, you'll have to come to Cincinnati and get a picture in front of this wall (before it gets repainted).

i have named my scoot Betty, as in My Betty. Anyone remenber that big overall-wearing kinda scary doll from the late eighties? My Buddy? " My, Buddy, My Buddy! Wherever i go, he goes. My Buddy and me like to climb up a tree, My Buddy and me are the best friends that can be!!" So , i named my scoot My Betty, and cannot help having my own little version of the song playing in my head as i tool around town.

My sister finally helped me name mine. I have a pink one and we named her Bubbles because she is the color of bubble gum. Of course my friends were picking on me the other day for riding a pink scooter and I responded "Leave Bubbles alone!" Some how this caused them to pick on me more not less. But what can you do? I was finally able to end the conversation when I said "you can pick on me when your car gets the 100mpg that Bubbles gets." No one had a response to that.

I have a black buddy. In keeping with my inner geek, I have named mine DESTINATION. Not very geeky I kinow........however I am puting a red Klingon decal on the front and will stencil the name destination in Klingon text (also in red) on the front as well, if I can figure that one out the Klingon word for Destination. I have removed the Buddy badge from the front and placed it on the top between the guages and the headlamp to accomodate this. Will probably paint the rims and brake disk red and the forks black. Destination may become a twe part name too.
Destination Reached, Destination Unknown, Destination ?-----?.
If you have any suggestions let me know. For now, just DESTINATION.

Have fun in life, doing whatever you do whenever you do it.

My Sunset Orange scoot is named...............SONNY.

Short, simple, sweet, and to the point. Sonny and I have had a blast this weekend. At a party last night, I made a couple of food/beer runs on Sonny. (and No, I wasn't drinking, but welcomed the excuse to take a quick ride.)
You don't wanna get mixed up with a guy like me. I'm a loner Dottie, a REBEL.

Hey all, I'm brand new to Buddy's, this site, & this is my first post :D
I've had a Black 125 Buddy for about a week now & I love it!
I bought it because I've gotten sick of dropping $60 into my Jeep every 2weeks or so. However from the first moment I got on my Buddy(ok after the first 5-10 minutes after I got over being scared sh*tless :P ) I fell in love w/ scootering. I find myself looking for excuses to ride it.
My girlfriend went to the scooter shop w/ me & instantly decided to get one too. She went big & got a 400cc monster Yamaha Majesty she calls "BlueDemon"(she likes the looks of Buddy's & Stella's but she's an ex-Kart racer & she's all about speed).
I have yet to come up w/ a good name for mine...any suggestions would be welcome.
Thx.

mmm given the size in comparison to your GF's , her's could be Skipper, and yours Gilliagan (as in Little Buddy). I will try and think of better though...

Speaking of "Pretty in Pink," I'm leaning towards "Andie" after Molly Ringwald's character.

There has also been the suggestion that I go with "Caroline" since that's the name of the girl in the song, but I think it's going to be "Andie."

I had just gotten back from a ride on my BlackBuddy, & on the way home I went down Apache which is under semi-permanent construction in preparation for Light Rail. I was impressed with how well my Scoot handled the crappy roads, it was a little brute I thought. In an instant I knew I'd found his name. "Brutus"
