SPAZ 2010

Post by illnoise »

I've had several requests at Scootmoto for 2010 SPAZ patches, so I thought I'd get the ball rolling here. : )

Let's do it!

Also, remember: zombies don't feel cold, the snow will not stop them, we must remain always vigilant, even in the winter months.

ah, that would explain the requests. NCRS is an awesome site, but I wish they'd posted something I had in stock. : )

Check out the movie "Dead Snow". They move really quickly in the snow! Like bees!

I'm all for a new patch. Maybe we should have "seasonal patches" instead of yearly ones? A winter SPAZ patch could be very cool.

Hold your horses there peeps. SPAZ 2010 patches will be coming eventually. I have already begun to play with some designs. My hope is to be a little more organized this next year and have the patches ready earlier in the season.

But, with that said, I still have at least 2-3 months of freedom before I get swallowed by all things SPAZ. :D

I do however currently still have plenty of the SPAZ carabiners/led light/bottle opener/keychain thingies. And Scotomoto should as well soon maybe too. :)

Hey S.P.A.Z. fans... Good news, I think I have a final design that I am very happy with for the patch for 2010! It's a little bit of a change from the last 2 years, but I think you will agree it's awesome. Wanna see it? Nope, not yet. :D Yeah, I'm a tease.

I am thinking I will start taking pre-orders sometime in March or April and let it simmer for a month so everyone who wants to get in on them can. I had quite a few people who have asked for patches after they were sold out. So I am hoping this gives everyone time to get theirs spoken for.

I am hoping to do a run of 250 this time! Last year was 200, year before was 175.

Shirts.
I am reeeally hoping to have T-SHIRTS finally this year. I've had TONS of people asking me where in the blazes the SPAZ shirts are. When I get a design I am happy with and arrange for the screen printing, we can move forward with that.

Anyway, that's the update for now. I'm stoked for this year and I cannot wait for the season to get here so I can ride, and spread the SPAZ goodness.

For most people, the season is spring. So that is what I am shooting for. Plus, I have a lot of organization to do before hand.

Stickers, well, if the person who did them before wanted to do them again with the new design, I'm OK with that. I dunno if I have it in me to handle 250 patch orders plus shirts plus stickers plus anything else. I'm old and senile most of the time remember?

OK peeps... It's March, it's time to start gearing up for this season! The last two seasons, I was still getting straggler orders well after I was out of patches. We lucked in to a handful recently of the 09 patches, so a few lucky peeps got some then too.

Now it's 2010. Time to think forward to the new SPAZ patch and logo design.

We've had people asking for shirts and stickers. I think I am going to try and do stickers for sure. I'd like to do shirts too, but that will most likely require pre-order only so I can get the right sizes and such for everyone.

This year, I'd like to get some posts regarding SPAZ on other scooter forums. I'd love to let others into the loop. I am sure we could get a lot more buyers and as a result buy more up front reducing the cost.

The first step is... get you guys salivating! :D

Patches and stickers are in the works. It's still early, people are just kind of warming up to the riding season so it may be a slow start. But, I am head of the game here already this year so that's a plus!

If anyone runs a small screen print shop (or knows someone who does) who wants to volunteer to do the shirt printing, please PM me! I'd like to keep the unit cost down to $10 a shirt if possible.

Check out http://www.shirtcorp.com . I've had low quantities (20+ min order) screened for well under a $10 unit price. Huge selection of different blanks too.

SK - thanks! I will check em out. I'd love to use someone who was scooter friendly/related and/or someone here to spread the love but any good shops = ok for me.

Laura, I have one put aside for him still... and for 1 other person here who never claimed theirs. And I cant tell you about the colors. I've not revealed anything more than the pixelated image above. Which could or could not be the new design. Yeah, IM a tease.

Ok peeps, we are getting close to "stuff" here!

I've ordered "business cards" to include with every order.
I am going to be ordering stickers very soon.
And then patches as well which I will be taking pre-orders for soon.
And shirts! I've got to get the design finalized and then pow.

I'm just kind of waiting for the hype to grow at this point.

Please get the word out to your SPAZ homies that it's almost time to rock!

The cards arrived!

Wanna see? Do ya? Doooo ya? They are a tease of patchy goodness to come, yet tell you nothing.

Ok. Since soooo many of you begged and pleaded... here are the official SPAZ 2010 cards! Suitable for leaving on scooters you see around town with a nice hand written note on the back for their owners.

Image

BTW, I really want to see more action in this thread. Without action here, there will be no SPAZ, because I depend on YOU guys to help make it happen!

I'd totally use those cards! I usually leave full coffee punch cards with the MB URL scrawled on the front. That way at least they get a free coffee outa it if they're not interested in the cult of the scooter :P

Trust me, it's all coming.

The cards are just the tiny little first step. The idea was to have a means to spread the love to others with no predetermined info. You hand write on the back, it means a lot more than a premade item. Yet, it's still SPAZ.

Ive got the sticker guy lined up and ready. And patch design is done, just waiting for me to reveal and start preorders.

Shirts, I do wanna do but I'm working on it. Be patient, wake up your scootery friends, tell them to get active here.

It's pudding time children.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe if you let me hand out some cards, it will help generate some buzz (or get my ass kicked) and you would have some patchy people who've never been on Modern Buddy? Like that guy in Philadelphia I ran into at the grocery store? I could have handed him a card instead of getting his address and mailing a patch and sticker to him. Plus, they'll match the scooter we're gonna go check out this weekend 8)
