Buddy Rack Question
Has anyone used this rack. Trying to see if there are any problems with it.

That's the exact same rack that everyone else uses, it's just got a black finish instead of a chrome finish. Unless you can fabricate one yourself, it's the only one available. Most people are satisfied with them.

That's the rack I've had since day one.
I ordered that the same day I ordered my B-125 and it was installed when I took delivery.
No problems with it. Tiny areas of rust now and then but I bought a tube of Duro-color
touch-up paint in flat black -works great.
I've had a trunk on mine for about a year and it's holding up fine.
If I remember correctly, the problem some were having was that the
holes in the rack & the holes in the scooter were not lining up 100%.
I think they got around it by just barely threading the bolts so they had more 'play'
and then when all the bolts were in they tightened em up.
Anybody remember people having mounting problems with these?
I like the black better than the chrome but now that I have the trunk on
it you can hardly see it anyway.

I had the chrome rack and switched to the black, I have issues with the allignment on either rack, but with some wrestling you get'em on. I did notice that the chrome racks are way more scratch resistant than the black rack but the black racks are easier to touch up.

I had mine installed by the dealer when I bought the scoot. (Also black; I don't go for the shiny.) I don't use it much on a day-to-day basis, but I bungee a milk crate to it whenever I go grocery shopping with the scooter. When I went on a camping/road trip last summer I strapped my tent, sleeping bag & pad, pillow, and some assorted clothes and stuff to it, which worked like a charm.

The only problem I have had with this rack is that the left side forward bolt tore my seat cover. I think this happened because the pet carrier/underseat compartment is slightly offset to the left. The bolt head is sharp enough to make a small gouge, and would benefit from a bolt head cover of some sort. As the damage (small though it is) is already done, I have not pursued bolt head covers.
Otherwise, mine has been a good rack, holding the top case without problem.
BTW, I got the chrome version.
