well look at this... i can see myself forgetting to unplug it from the bike and BAM!!! when i get off... but it does look interesting... i like how the neck area is after the inflate...

My friend Quincy has one. He got it after going down on a Thruxton and having that, "OMG riders really are THIS close to some serious injury much of the time" realization.
It's pretty cool. It only engages when separated from the connection at over 25psi pressure or something like that so accidental inflation is unlikely.
I wouldn't be surprised if some inflation technologies made their way into more mainstream bikes and jackets eventually (there have been some prototype bikes with airbag type devices). Maybe not full inflation like this, but neck or back protection to augment armor.
Even the Hit Air has full armor. The inflation is extra protection.
