I will update the total every couple of days! Lets see just how much we can spend! Yes yes...of course cash counts too!

Got a gift under the tree or menorah or for Festivus (for the rest of us!) give it your best honest estimate!

For the first Spend-A-Thon viewtopic.php?t=2792&highlight=spendathon out total was $14,354

The second annual viewtopic.php?t=9143&postdays=0&postord ... &start=0we ended at $27,644.85!!!!!!!

Last year viewtopic.php?t=13726&start=50 was yet another record!

$30,097!
Winners will be selected for whatever categories I make up!

Last years winners were...well...there weren't any cause I got lazy

TRACKSIDE Aluminum Folding Ramp BLACK FRIDAY DEAL (#462552) $65.24 out the door at Cycle Gear. :D :D :D

http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=&L ... TV-002_PRE

NICE ramp, btw. The ladder spacing is just right for small buddy wheels. I got there around 9am and they still had 6 or 8 in the store. Worth the short drive to the store to save on shipping. Much better than the steel ramps at Harbor Freight, even with their 25% off Thanksgiving coupon deal.

The wife was laughing at me as I "played" with it test loading the buddy into the element. Now maybe I can get out and do some group rides .

I have never participated in the Spend-a-Thon. :(
Does paying my tab at NoHo Scooters count? (No, I don't keep a running tab there. They didn't have my ticket when I went in and said I could take care of it later.) Maybe I'll buy something while there just to participate.

BUT… about to go drop about $150 on bicycle stuff (helmet, lights, whatever I find at REI). Because I can't do anything that doesn't require buying a lot of crap.

I love REI, especially there bi-monthly "attic sale". Find out when yours is, you could save some serious cabbage and get great stuff.

As my Blackjack sits at the dealer while they figure out who's going to pay for "problems" (created when they installed new sliders), I have a new seat from Pirate Upholstery on it's way to me.

Including shipping, put me down for $326.

That BETTER be the only scooter-related cost I incur this month.

A couple things that'll do double duty on the scooter and the bike:
Chaos Chinook Muti-Tasker Balaclava: $14
http://www.rei.com/product/807622
Wow, very soft, warm, comfy and multi-tasky!

Onguard DT U Lock with cable: $28

Weekend ain't over. I need a new backpack for riding on the scoot. :)

At CycleGear Friday I bought: some gloves- 39.99
Helmet halo- 15.99
DH got 8 in 1 socket wrench- 13.99
2 bottles of Stabil. 11.98
double kidded funnel. 6.99
With taxes, the total at the store was. 96.06

Then Saturday we stopped at a powersports store on the way out of Huntsville. DH found a pair of big guy summer-weight overpants there in the store! These pants actually fit him, so we got them. The total for those pants was 107.99.

So the total I've spent so far is 204.05.

Happy shopping!

I didn't think I'd take part this year, but I was in San Diego for a few days, so I stopped by Motor Sport Scooters, where I tried on the Prima jacket. And I liked it. So after the Prima jacket and the Motor Sport Scooter hoodie, I am able to contribute $151.11!

Can't wait to get it on the damn scooter! I wanted to keep with the general idea of the seat on the BlackJack, with a few mods. It's kind of a Cafe Racer style/BJ hybrid, with gel inserts and beautiful, supple leather instead of the plastic.

Another $17.37 spent!

Sierra Trading Post had Brunton 1L aluminum fuel bottles for $3.71 so I picked up another pair (now own 4). Very useful for carting extra gas around and 4L = about 1 gallon.

While I was there, got suckered (?) into buying a pair of merino glove liners for $10. This is how they hook you.

Post by philly6000 »

Purchased my first scooter from a private party. A 2008 Buddy 125.

Cash Price: an incredible steal at $995!

If you want to include the money that I paid in tax, license, registration at the DMV for my temporary registration.....you can tack on another $183.

$995 + $183 = $1,178:
