Hello all!
I'm the proud owner of a gently used Buddy Blackjack as of late March, and I'm finally loving life with it! I would love to ride with/meet some of the gang on this site, so I signed up today, and here I am taking the plunge...lol...
I have been quite the absorber of information on this subject of late, so if any of you have any tips and/or tricks, color me interested.
Lookin' forward to hours/days/weeks of fun!

Awesome! Congrats on the new Buddy.
I'm in the Logan Square neighborhood, and I do all my own wrenching. Edit: so if you ever need help, let me know. There are a fair amount of Chicagoists on here, but I've never met any in real life.
I don't really stay abreast of any group rides in Chicago, but I know Genuine does a cookout and ride every summer, at the dealership on 5400 N Damen.

NICE!
I would LOVE how to do some of the immediate work on this thing, it's really cool. (Oil Changes, blinker/light mods, etc...) Been to ScooterWorks, love the guys there, but not really hands on trainers at the moment...
Totally want to hit a rally too, big one in June coming up, and the massive one on Labor Day, I'll be there too! Riding partners in my area are few/far between, so I'm anxious to scoot...
Maybe I'll meet you at German American fest on your front doorstep?

The all flat black on flat black look is pretty sweet!
My big problem at the moment is what am I gonna do to mine? Mods? I love the classic look, but the right decals could make it interesting? But I don't want to compromise the beauty that is the original? SUCH DECISIONS!
The only thing I've done so far is remove the Buddy logos, add a Gen-u-bin, and ride the hell out of it...
I just don't know what to do next...
