Yep but it let's us use two more photos .....
I am thinking the lowest vote getters of the top 14 should get the covers... but eric is building it so his call

I propose a new vote, to determine which 12 months the calendar will cover. I vote for March 1965, June 1982, September 1982, June 1983, July 1983, March 1986, March 1987, April 1989, June 1991, September 1997, September 2001 (because I had my picture in the newspaper that month, writing an op/ed piece about You Know What), and November 2008.

I got a few I could vote for but thank god, nobody took pictures....

EDIT: Left one off, oops!

These were all clear top vote getters and even those with fewest had enough that I didn't think we needed a runoff. The people have spoken!

I'll be contacting winners and giving them info for sending me the images, etc. Congrats to all!

Thanks to all who participated and especially to ScootLemont for organizing another great MB activity.

Since it's mid-year, we may do this again for January and overlap half a year. DOUBLE AWESOMENESS FOR 2012! Keep takin' them photos.

I left one off the winner list—see above!

Turns out we can do a calendar for August 2011 through Dec. 2012. I'll figure it out. If we go this way, I may just put a graphic or something else for the covers so all the winning photos appear on the inside.

This will also give us a few more slots for pics. I have a plan for this, but you'll have to wait until after Amerivespa to hear it. :)

I glad we finally have this project going. Thanks Scoot Lemont for your efforts here. I seem to remember a calendar discussion in 2008, but nothing came of it.
Can't wait to have it hanging on my wall.

as opposed to me.... I just keep throwing every idea that pops into my head out there & about 1 in 200 are good.

Seriously....
The Most double entendre topic subjects thread is still going?!
I think that on Aug 14th (the 3 year anniversary of the thread) every post MUST be a double entendre (see... there is another idea I probably should have left in the back of my mind)

but anyway.... thanks for all the thanks

Great winners! Glad that a couple St. Tropezzes... Is that right? Maybe Tropezzus? Tropesses? Anyway, glad that a couple of the blue and gray ones made the cut!

Everybody did a great job. I really liked the sort of sea to shining sea theme of scooters across the county. Kind of bummed the Ohio buddy didnt make it, but each of the winners is awesome.

Obviously I'm pleased that my photo made the cut-off; glad to see that other people can sense from it some of what made it special to me.

I want to mention that not all of the photos I voted for made the cut, so if yours didn't, you are free to assume that at least I voted for it. :) And seriously, that was such a good batch of pictures that the bottom vote-getters would've made a good calendar too.

I just hope that Eric remembers that even the best photo can be improved with just a little Photoshop work:

This was a fun project and I thank you guys for your work. I love the Calendar idea. Also like the variety of scooters and that we didn't snob on any particular brand. Kudos!
