Finally got my new Piaa plasma bulb installed and all I can say is WOW! This baby is really bright. I'm lovin it. Thanks again Skootz for the good info. It took all of about 20 minutes. Great up-grade.

So glad you like it. I can't imagine riding at night with out it now. Funny story, the other night I was following behind a buddy of mine who rides a Vino and sport bikes etc. At the first traffic light stop he turned to me and said "Damn What the hell do you have in that thing?? That light is bright!". Yep. Love my PIAA :D

After getting it aimed, do you ride mostly with the high beam or low?

I ride highbeam day and night but switch to lowbeam when there is oncoming traffic at night.

Do you find that at night on comming will flash if you have the high beam on?

Did you aim yours at 25' distance or the 17' distance?
Thanks

They don't flash if I'm courteous and switch to low beam :) I think I aimed from 17'. I just followed the instructions and marked off in the garage. That was a few years ago so I don't recall the actual distance. I'll check next time I'm out there.

It is a Piaa HS1 super plasma gtx. I was going to order it from Piaa but instead got it from a local cycle dealer and saved on some shipping charges. You'll love it!

Will the PIAA HS1 bulb work just as well in the smaller '06 Buddy headlight? Just concerned about heat, etc. About time for a change after 5 years.

Nope, the '06 uses a different bulb. (18 watt) You'd have to change the entire headset.
