Pretty sure the trip wil be well worth winning! The Scoot! Guys are cool and this is really a scooterists' tour, no just a scooter jaunt for tourists.

I'm sure it would be awesome to win and I'd certainly love to. And very likely I would not want to come back. But at the moment I'd have to swim there if I won :P

I just can't swing it this year. The trip is in Sept. 2011. Next year, maybe, if they do it again.

I should the Italian web site to my wife, and we've decided to do the trip next year in September. We are going whether or not there is an organised group from the states going.

It includes air fare. The bit you are reading is for the regular tour if you pay for it yourself:
Your Scoot! Club Membership is your entrance into our drawing for a
FREE ESCORTED TOUR OF ITALY INCLUDING AIRFARE for 2.
I can't go cuz it's the busy time for work...

Interesting. We're actually planning on this trip for June, 2012 so I'll be watching for some reviews. There's also a guy at ADVRider who's doing the Tuscany/Vespa trip this year and I'm sure he'll be reporting back soon.

Are those bikes that are used over there have automatic transmission, I wonder? The region ,Tuscany is beautiful. Florence....the Academy, Capella di Medici..Just riding in that area is going to be pure bliss. .....

Pretty sure they're all automatics as they'll be recent Piaggio/Vespa models.

Edelweiss has been around for years and the choice of bike depends on the tour you're taking. Their two current scooter tours offer a choice of Vespas, from 125cc to 300cc. Motorcycle tours run the gamut of makes, including Triumph, Ducati, BMW and others.
