Tough to start a Vespa LX without the keys (they have an RFID chip and an immobilizer that prevents starting using any other key or hotwiring) unless you know what you're doing.
Very suspicious. But to have multiple suspicious listings? Hmmm.

Seriously though... anyone here from Boston? If so, why don't you send this in (with links) to the Boston PD? These are obviously stolen bikes, and this guy's apparently doing a LOT of business.
.
I did an anonymous tip thing last time. I have to suspect this guy is not wanted or the BPD does not care or they are too busy. Either way I'm keeping my money.
Initially I contacted the PD to try to see if this guy was known to them. That flew about as well as a bag of bricks...
My neighbor's Yamaha was stolen a couple of days ago in Cambridge from in front of our building. He was just running in for a half-hour and didn't think to lock it up or even lock the steering column. Someone just walked into our courtyard in broad daylight and roll it away through a park with tons of people in it.
Happily, the thief abandoned the scooter in someone's back yard after they couldn't jack the ignition, and the owner of the house called the police when they saw a suspicious scooter in their yard. Happily my neighbor has his scooter back, though the ignition is busted and it won't start.

i wonder if your neighbor is on zuma forums
there is a guy posting up about getting his z back after haveing it stolen and has lots of issues thanks to the poor hotwire job they tried
What about staring a thread just for such Craigslists ads where we can then flag them to be removed? Collectively we can at least make it annoying for the seller by getting their ads removed all the time.

He could be! It was a Zuma that was stolen. I don't think he's gotten it started again yet though.
