Anybody Else Get This

Post by Phil P »

I ordered two oil filters from Scooterworks for my Buddy 150. They
came in today in a little box. When I opended the box there was the
two filters plus a small box of Applehead Fruit Candy. Don't know what
to make of it, but the box of candy was still sealed and I ate some.
Good. What do you all make of this.

I've ordered lots of stuff from them and they do from time to time include some sort of an extra.

I think they're probably laced with some kind of drug to make people want to buy more stuff...subliminal candy of sorts...

Box of sour apple lemonheads with my rear rack about two weeks ago; figured they're just having some fun.

Too bad my homebrew supply store doesn't chuck in a freebie like that; would love to score some hop pellets or something everything I order bottle caps!

I usually get candy with my order but my most recent one (oil filter and set of Dr. Pulley sliders) was unaccompanied :(

Genuine is near the HQ of Ferara Pan candy. They collaborated with them on the limited edition Atomic Fireball Stellas several years ago. So most of the time, availability permitting, free candy with Scooterworks orders!

Well I'm very happy. It's not so much what the candy is worth, :My box
is marked 25 cents:, but the thought. I will be doing more ordering from
them. Wish more companys would do more for their customers. Somebody there is thinking!!

I wish they were closer to Ferrara Pan, that's closer to my house. I also wish they'd allow same-day local pickup from the warehouse, but they ship frighteningly fast to my office (which is less than a mile from their warehouse) so either I'm lucky or they're trying to shut me up on forums, ha.

I've got a box of candy every time I have ordered from them. Granted, I'm not a fan of that type of candy, but it is a very nice little touch :) I've also got a few keychains from them as well. I even received an email from my last purchase of a brake cable and 4th hand tool asking if my brake job went well! Those are the little touches that make a business nice. Granted I don't do all my parts ordering from them, but for what I can get, they're a top choice.

Scooterworks seems quirky in a nice way.

I don't know if I could handle the irony of riding a flamed Stella named "Atomic Fireball."

I ordered a model Buddy that matches my scooter for my Christmas stocking from Scooterworks. It came today with the box of grape candy and a knit beanie cap with their logo on it! From the other posts, I wasn't surprised about the candy but I was with the cap. I will have to wear it this winter while my scooter is parked.

Actually, that cap would be perfect to wear while servicing your scoot... now all you need them to send you is a knitted pair of overalls to go with it.

Knitted caps? Damn! Too bad I'm broke until the end of January. By then I'll be buying a ton of stuff for the cross country trip this summer to Amerivespa.

I could really use one of those caps right now: 48 degrees and raining :|
