Can the 07 Italia take tubeless tire?

I'm a little confused here. can someone school me?

I took my 07 Italia to get a new rear tire (Michelin S83 3.5x10) and was told that whether or not it could take a tubeless tire depends on the wheel. So, my question is:

1. Does the 07 Italia wheel support a tubeless tire or do I need to get a different wheel to use a tubeless tire?

2. Is the Michelin S83 a tubeless tire? I'm not seeing clear answers online.

thx!

UPDATE: Ok I ended up calling Scooterworks to get the details so I'm good now.

The 07 Series Italia with the whitewall are tubed tires. However the rim can accommodate tubeless tire.

What'd they come up with?

I'm pretty sure new tires will be in order by the end of the summer. I love the white walls for sure, but they're kinda crap.

The only decent whitewalls out there for a Buddy were the Maxxis, now discontinued. The whitewalls in the International 150s, though, are all tubeless, I think. Only ones that came tubed were the Italia 125s.

That's correct. The 2007 Series Italias were the only ones that came with tubbed whitewalls. From 2008 and on they are tubeless whitewalls.

I just test-rode the new 170i which comes with white wall Maxxis, which is odd if they're discontinued?
