Finally got a Buddy!

Post by squidsie »

I am so proud to announce that today I bought a Pamplona International Buddy! After a year of looking and longing for a scooter, I finally found the one! The Pamplona is such a beautiful color! Much more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! The scooter is in mint condition and I couldn't have found such a wonderful scoot! The seller was so nice, too!

Once I got her home I rode around the parking lot behind my building for a long time. As I became more comfortable, I decided to venture out so I went a few blocks down and back. I eventually went to our local grocery store to pick up a couple of items!

It was such an amazing feeling to be on the Buddy! Exactly what I thought and expected I would feel like! Though it was a little scary, I knew it was the right choice for me!

Tomorrow I have a DMV appointment to get my permit and I cannot wait! I am so happy that this has all finally happened! I am looking forward to many more adventures!

Nice!
Welcome!
Those are some nice bright bulbs in the deadlights. Any idea which ones the original owner put in?

Congrats...I recently got a Buddy too!

I picked up my 2009 Buddy 125 from a young man in Edmond, OK who bought it brand new and only put about 1500 km on it. I'm taking the MSF course in a couple of weeks, but I've already been out and about a bit on mine. I wish I had been more careful early on, though, because I ended up making a stupid move (I tried to make a turn at the last second, hitting my brakes mid-turn) that caused me to end up in the hospital for a couple of days. Lesson learned. I'm still happy I got it, and I won't make that mistake again. Here it is...

@OklaforniaGirl: I'm sorry to hear about your visit to the hospital. That is very scary. Braking and turning are the scariest parts for me. I am just taking it slow. Your Buddy looks nice :)

Thanks! Luckily, I wasn't actually hurt too bad and I'm back out and about. I love the look of the Pamplona you got! Beautiful scooter!

Nice pic! Sorry to hear about your crash, but glad you're okay and still riding!

If you don't mind, could you post about your experience to our crash reports thread? It's VERY helpful for new riders (and old ones, too). Thanks!
