Turn signals work intermitent?

Can anybody help? My Buddy 170i has developed a problem with front turn signals, whe turning they flash rapidly or not at all. Have changed both front bulbs checked flasher unit. Could it be a short or has any one else experienced, have 10,000 miles on clock still a great bike. :?:

Could be a battery issue. Check the voltage or have it tested. Check the connections.

Could be a bad ground too - I used to see that on pickup trucks / trailers.
