Anyone out there with insight, please share.

My Ladys' scooter only came with one key for each, and i want to make at least one back up set.

Thanks

get a Genuine OEM key blank and have it cut to match, super easy

We have keys and top boxes listed here

You didnt say what size Buddy, but they all should use the same key blank.

The keys for the Buddy are unique to Genuine (at least in the US), so they're pretty much impossible to find through the usual key-duplication services, so don't even bother looking. Once you get the Genuine blanks, any locksmith or hardware store can cut them into duplicates.

I bought 3 extras when I got my 06 cause it only came with two, and I have this habit, LOL..... I think they were like 3.00 each and about 2 bucks to cut them.....Ordered from my dealer and had them in 3 or 4 days....

Ditto. I bought four blanks from Scooterworks, but that was when I only got one key with the scoot, as the dealer had lost the other.

Easy cut at the hardware store.

Success

Thanks AFI Racing, Got the extra key and a kickstand for my ET4.

Highly Recommend AFI to anyone who needs some spare parts for their scoot

Make sure you are confident in the hardware store's competence. Getting hardware stores to cut keys should work, but I spent the $5 for a Genuine blank, and the hardware store screwed it up somehow. So I still had no duplicate key, and $5 less in my pocket.

Another thread talked about options to Genuine blanks. Genuine blanks are the best choice, but there are some alternatives:
