this last sunday I rode hwy 20 to colusa and the casino and back (only about 65-75 miles round trip) to mostly check my milage (and get a change of scenery for a bit)...acording to fuelly: 93.2 mpg @ 40-45 mph...with 875 miles on the clock now.

things are improving every day...my worst was about 74 mpg before the carb adjustment and adding the 2T gas cap @ 3-400 miles.

whose a happy camper?... :P

The first week of this month I rode 1771 miles from Tucson to Yuma to Las Vegas to Four Corners to Springerville, AZ and back to Tucson.

Good times

first ride

Took my buddy out on the road for my first ride! I live in the country, so two lane back roads with cars and trucks doing 50 to 60. Then into town.

My husband was my escort on his Harley, what a sight we were. Loads of fun!

Sigh. Like 47909Rider, I've had shop issues, so I haven't been able to ride. I just went to the shop this morning and took my Buddy out of the service queue.

I have a new vibration that popped up, and I'm _pretty_ sure it's a rattle in the exhaust, but not 100% sure it's not something in the transmission (hard to hear with a big helmet on), as the transmission has been a little 'grabby' lately starting from a standstill. Anyway, I dropped it off on 5/10 and it hadn't even been looked at yet, and wasn't really looking promising for today. I spent 10 minutes 'convincing' the desk lady that yes, I really wanted it back, yanked it out, brought it home, and I'm now going to _call ahead_ to another highly-recommended local shop and get a feel for their wait time. The current shop inherited the Genuine dealership and did a good job for me on tires and lubes last fall, and I realize that spring is the busy season, but this had been going on a lot longer than I'd hoped for. :(

Frustrating.

I too have not been able to ride, and my scoot is currently in 'the Scooter Hospital' and as also mentioned they are busy leaving me wait.
But I did ride to the grocery store (about 2 miles) on my friend's Blur last week.

Howardr, that's a heck of a ride in a week's time!

Keep it up, ScootLady! When I ride across country I really enjoy those back roads!

Right now, I'm riding in town only. Finances being what they are, trips are a pretty big "no". But I'm still having fun! 8)

My latest ride was this past weekend on my fully restored, like new condition '87 Honda ch150 Elite scooter. Took it on a 10 mile round tripper in the Des Moines, Redondo Beach and Woodmont Beach areas of south Seattle. Capped it off with a stop for coffee at the local Starbucks. I have some severe back pain issues so much so that I have a Neurostimulator implant but when I'm on the scoot, I'm basically pain-free. Go figure.

Aaaah. I called ahead and took the scoot into the alternative shop. The guy who runs it used to be the wrench at the original local dealer, and actually sold me the scoot originally. He had me fire it up, immediately discovered a crack (and a missing bolt) in the pipe, and also heard strangeness in the transmission. He's got a Prima in stock, and will inspect the CVT. Tomorrow. Much better than the first shop. We'll see how it ends up

I rode to school, gym, then work. I live in LA so I'm grateful to be able to scoot around in this nice weather.
