When you get a new neighbor and...um...I really don't know..

Post by KrispyKreme »

Young guy, 30ish, wife. REALLY frak uptight. He also, when we barely knew each other, said the word "nigger", in reference to the crime in our "fair" city. I know I need to calm down, but he needs a smack, for real.

THOUGHTS?

Edit-WOW that was way too political. Lock, stock, and two smoking barrels.....

I've been in my house for 9 years. I couldn't even tell you my neighbors' names. I just may be anti-social...

When you get into fights with "friends", you just don't return calls. Simple.
I like this cat but for two glaring things. Racism. Feeling Superior.

Sounds like two valid reasons to not like someone.

Edit-Behind every enemy is a friend. I'm trying to flip this flapjack so it wont burn. I want to be Ghandi. I feel like Black Kettle.

Any neighbor who drops the Nbomb would pretty much be instant persona non grata.

That doesn't sound good. I don't really know my neighbors but I often say Hi to them when I see them. They all seem to love the Stella and once in a while I'll get a compliment but I can't say I know them too well. I would stay away from that neighbor as it doesn't seem that person is easy going...

This. The guy is young and obviously has some issues but he may also have a past that reinforces his views, whatever that may be. Think in terms that you can be a good influence on him and realize it will take a long time. Your challenge is twofold: (1) don't be overbearing and (2) persevere. He won't change at all if you cut him off. He may not change anyway but it's worth your effort. God bless!
