Iphone 6s charging off scooter battery

Interesting info I found out yesterday -
The charger I used to keep my phone 5s charged does not keep up with the need of my new iPhone 6s. It shows charging, but when I have my mapping app running, it actually runs down the batter faster than it can be charged.
I switched to the charger I had in the family van, which has the Apple usb to lightning charger, and this time I increased the battery level while riding.
Just a FYI for those of you who get a new phone and wonder why your phone isn't keeping up the charge while hooked up to the scooter.
