Spend $100 and get a lithium ion battery. Well worth the upgrade ;)

Probably meant my response.

Lighter, no acid to discharge and have plates fuse, more cranking amps, and it's cooler to say "My bike is powered by Lithium Ion Technology"

I agree with DeeDee. Get this battery:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replacement-Bat ... Sw4CFY6C1B

And charge it at least once a month using low amps with a battery tender like this.....
https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tender-0 ... der+junior

And practice kick starting your scooter so you will know how to do it if your battery dies.

You will never find a better price than that ebay link. Here is one for $18 that ships from New Jersey so you will get it faster....
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-FirstPower-YT ... SwLEtYlKvM

A similar battery will cost about $50 locally.

It also has 4 amp hours instead of 3 which will give you a little more juice.

Typical battery lasts 2-3 years. It will die sooner if you don't keep it charged which is why you should charge it once a month with the battery tender. Charge it as soon as you receive it too.
