Seat cushion

Post by JJScoot »

Do any of you guys use a cushion on top of your seat? If so, which one do you use? Thanks.

I absolutely love these covers. They allow great airflow. If you get caught in the rain, the water runs off your vinyl seat and you stay pretty dry. I have one on my Vespa and my C3. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3D-Black-Motor ... m570.l1313

So this is just to keep your butt cool? That’s a good idea. I’m looking for a cushion recommendation though.

I have custom made sheepskin covers for my Burgman and Buddy. I prefer the mesh. Give it a try, at $5.00 you don't have much to lose.

I also have that mesh cover on my Buddy. For long rides I use an Alaska Leather sheepskin seat cover. You can buy them on Ebay. They actually come from Alaska!

What size do you think to fit the Buddy seat?

You'll have to measure your seat. Their chart is accurate.

I just realized I have my modified Buddy seat w/ sheepskin sitting wrapped in plastic in the basement. The slight hump has been removed to make the seat completely flat. There is a 5/8" gel pad added right at the sweet spot. Topped off with real sheepskin cover. Low miles. It's for sale. If you're interested please PM me.

Thanks for the offer! But I’m not a sheepskin kind of guy. :(

Hey I've only been riding about a month now. I have a buddy 125 and my butt gets numb after about 30 minutes of ride time. I think I'm about average weight and height (5'10" and about 170 lbs) so is it the seat on the buddy causing it or just me? any ideas besides sheepskin or is that about it?LOL

Maybe you need more padding back there. Any good burger shops nearby?

I ordered this for an upcoming group ride, will be on the saddle 3-4 hours. Should arrive in 2 days. Comments are that it looks like Granny's toilet lid cover but it's really comfortable. Half the cost of many other options I considered. https://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Plate-me ... at+cushion

guarantee it's not as comfortable as an airhawk and not sure the size would fit the seat the same but i had one of these on my TW200
