Gen-u-Bodge

Post by buzzvert »

Thought I would give the long-disused "Gen-U-Bin" a try. It's been sitting in the parts boxes for over a year since the bin wasn't big enough for my Costanza wallet or gigantor cell phone. I solved this issue and restored it to pretty decent functionality by removing the bin, and adding fabric "hinges" to the lid (since the hinges on the original were integral to the bin).

This allows me to use the totality of the storage area. I keep a little rag in there so things don't bounce around as much. Now there's plenty of space for both the wallet and phone, and the lid closes nicely. Here's a pic. Sure I could have made it more stylish...

Good job, buzzvert. Looks like that's not the first bodge (in a good way) :D

Every good salvaged scooter is at least 20% bodge by weight. :D
